Sold by Deathguard Netharian, the Combatant Mount Quartermaster in the Valley of Strength, Orgrimmar, for 1 Vicious Saddle. It was the reward of The War Within's second PvP season and has since moved to the saddle vendor. A saddle is earned in rated PvP: wins at 1,000 rating or more fill the Season Rewards bar; the first full bar of a season gives that season's own vicious mount, and every further full bar in the same season gives a Vicious Saddle.

Notes and sources
The journal and Wowhead's tooltip (item 229988) still give only the old source, The War Within Season 2, and name no vendor. That season is over, but the wiki has the mount on sale. Its page for the mount (edited 2026) says it can be bought for 1 Vicious Saddle from Deathguard Netharian in Orgrimmar (Horde) or Necrolord Sipe in Stormwind City (Alliance), and its page for Deathguard Netharian (edited 2026) has it in his stock at 1 Vicious Saddle beside the Vicious Skyflayer and the Vicious Void Creeper of the other two War Within seasons.
Wowhead's page for the Horde item was not checked; Wowhead's sold-by list for the Alliance item of the same name has Necrolord Sipe at 1 Vicious Saddle.
Saddles can only be earned while a rated PvP season is running. The wiki's page for Midnight Season 2 (as read for the Alliance Vicious Electro Eel and the Vicious Void Creeper) has it starting on 18 August 2026 and still ongoing, with the Vicious Lightbloom Boar as its own mount. The saddle binds when picked up (wiki) and the vendor is a Horde one, so the bar has to be filled on a Horde character.
The guide gives no win count for Solo Shuffle, and the points a win pays were not found; the bar on the Rated tab of the PvP window shows the progress.
This is the Horde mount (item 229988, spell 466145); the Alliance one of the same name (item 229989) is a separate mount sold by Necrolord Sipe. The wiki files it as a flying mount and gives level 30 for the item. Added in patch 11.1.0 (25 February 2025).
Coordinates are the wiki's for Deathguard Netharian, 42.0, 73.8; the wow.gg guide puts him at about 42.0, 72.4. The guide linked is written for the Vicious War Raptor and does not name the Electro Eel, but the way to a saddle and the vendor are the same.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
