A chance reward for finishing a streak of Shipping and Handling jobs in Undermine without stopping, on a character at Renown 8 or more with The Cartels of Undermine. The jobs are the small tasks handed out on the streets of Undermine (deliveries, sweeping or smashing trash, running over cockroaches, clearing enemies): press the Start Job button (5) while driving the G-99 Breakneck, or use the Caddy Caller with an ordinary ground mount, and follow the green arrow from one job to the next. A streak is ten in a row. The reins are not looted from anything: they are put straight into the bags when the streak pays out, which players report happens as the ninth job is done, before the 'legally mandated break' that closes the streak.
Chance Never published, and Wowhead records no count: the reward is not looted from anything. The wiki says only that the mount, two battle pets (Mutt, Personal-Use Sapper) and a coat (Breakneck Cabbie's Coat) 'have a chance of being awarded for completing a streak at or above Renown 8', with better odds at higher renown. Players on Wowhead's page (read 2026-10-11) got it on the 2nd, the 3rd and the 5th or 6th streak, after about 20 (three reports) and after 'over 50'

line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
The journal's 'Drop: Shipping and Handling' names the job system, not a creature. Each job pays a Weathered Undermine Crest and a little Valorstones, Resonance Crystals or gold, and a finished streak a bonus; the rare rewards ride on that bonus (wiki). It is still earned in Midnight: Wowhead comments of 2026, from the prepatch and after, are from players who had just got it.
The jobs can be started anywhere in Undermine, so the place given above is the one the system belongs to: Nanny Talullah at Shipping and Handling (wiki: 37.4, 48.8), who gives the quest for the car. The time on the spot is an estimate for one streak; no source gives one.
What the renown does: the wiki's table has the streaks' rare rewards at 50% from Renown 8 and 100% from Renown 12. Its Shipping and Handling page words the two perks (Expert Haggler, Master Negotiator, from Smaks Topskimmer at the Incontinental Hotel) as 'a 50% chance for increased rewards during your Shipping and Handling pit stops' and an additional reward for certain. That is not the mount for certain: a player at Renown 19 needed two streaks (2025) and one at Renown 20 reports many streaks that paid only gold (2026). A 2025 comment says the mount comes even when Smaks offers no dialogue at Renown 8.
Theories from the comments, none confirmed:
- that the first streak of each week is much likelier to pay a rare item (a player at the highest renown got the pet, the coat, the other pet and the mount in four successive weeks, 2025; a later 2025 reply agrees)
- that the items come in a fixed order
A hotfix of 4 March 2025 stopped streaks from handing out the same rare item twice (wiki). Surge Pricing, the hourly event at half past, has nothing to do with the mount, and a streak in progress when it starts has its count set back to zero (2025 comment).
Faults players report: a job that does not count, after which the streak cannot be finished (2025); leaving Undermine and coming back, or the Clock Out button in the car, starts afresh.
In the Midnight prepatch one player found the streak paying only a little gold after the eighth job, and got the real reward, the mount included, by skipping the break, taking the teleporter to Dornogal for a minute and coming back. A reply from a player at Renown 20, who had only ever had gold from many streaks, got the pet at once that way and the mount three tries later (2026). Whether that is still so was not established.
Added in patch 11.1.0 (25 February 2025); the first reins handed out could not be learned, fixed by 3 March 2025 (comments; the wiki has a hotfix of 4 March). The item binds when picked up and asks for level 30 (wiki); a ground mount that does not fly (comments).
No step-by-step guide to this mount was found: a search turned up only the wiki and sellers' pages, and the one Wowhead guide listed on the item's page is the general mount list for The War Within. The wiki's page for the job system is linked as the nearest thing.
