How to get it

Chance item in the Darkfuse Trove, the cache Darkfuse Solutions gives each time its reputation bar fills again once Exalted: 10,000 reputation a trove. The quest Exalted with Darkfuse Solutions then appears and is handed in to Sitch Lowdown, the Darkfuse Solutions Quartermaster, in his warehouse in the sewers under Hovel Hill in Undermine. The reputation is not earned like the other cartels': it is bought from Sitch himself, a Box of Darkfuse Miscellany at a time, with Market Research found around Undermine. A trove holds either the mount or one or two Miscellaneous Mechanica.

Chance 19.3% per try, so about 5 tries on average — Wowhead (page for the Darkfuse Trove, read 2026-10-11): the mount in 89 of 462 opened troves, 19.3%. The count runs from patch 11.1 (February 2025) and is per opening player. Miscellaneous Mechanica was in 350 of the same 462, which fits what the comments say: Mechanica only when the trove has no mount. Blizzard published no figure

Guide Wowhead: Cartels of Undermine Renown Guide - Patch 11.1: Undermine(d)

Before you go

  • Undermine unlocked: the first chapter of the Undermine(d) campaign, which follows the Khaz Algar campaign · about 1.5 h
  • The Undermine(d) campaign as far as Liberation of Undermine: The House Loses, which Monte Gazlowe gives at the Incontinental Hotel after Right Where We Want Him: Chrome King Gallywix, the last boss of the raid Liberation of Undermine, defeated. Then Diversified Investments, from the Overly-Sealed Letter on the table in the hotel (43.3, 51.7), leads to Sitch Lowdown and opens Darkfuse Solutions · about 5 h
  • Exalted with Darkfuse Solutions: 42,000 reputation from Neutral, which is 84 Boxes of Darkfuse Miscellany from Sitch Lowdown at 100 Market Research and 500 reputation a box, 8,400 Market Research in all. Market Research comes out of the chest at the end of each S.C.R.A.P. Heap dig (12 to 16), from Undermine's rares (1 to 6, the summoned Darkfuse Precipitant 12 to 14), and now and then from ordinary creatures and piles of trash · about 26 h
  • For each trove, the reputation bar filled once more past Exalted: 10,000 reputation, which is 20 more boxes and 2,000 Market Research · about 6 h

In all: about 38.5 h of play, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources

At 19.3% about five troves are expected, so some 31 hours of gathering Market Research past Exalted on top of the 26 to get there. Players' own counts on Wowhead run from the first trove (2025) and the second or third, to four troves without it (2026); one calls it 'a 1/4 chance'.

Nothing limits troves but the Market Research: there is no weekly cap, and the bar can be filled several times before handing in (a 2025 commenter opened 29 at once). One caution from a 2025 reply: a player who turned in 1,900 Market Research at once says the bar reset and a trove was lost, so it may be safer to take each trove's quest as it appears; not confirmed.

The trove comes from the quest Exalted with Darkfuse Solutions (85808: an emissary-type quest, level 80, 'Speak with Sitch Lowdown in the sewers near Hovel Hill', ended at Sitch Lowdown, reward the trove). Sitch is at 30.6, 38.8 (wiki, Wowhead's guide and tooltip), in a warehouse entered by the Sewer Grate at 29.7, 41.1.

The wiki (pages edited 2026) says only that the mount 'can rarely be looted' from the trove (item 232465), 'the paragon reputation cache for Darkfuse Solutions', and lists the trove's contents as 1-2 Miscellaneous Mechanica, about 50 Resonance Crystals and the mount, with no chance. Whether a trove can still hold the mount for an account that already has it was not established (one commenter supposes not). The trove binds to the Warband (wiki) and the faction is filed under Warband reputations; the mount item binds when picked up.

Reaching the faction and gathering Market Research are as in the Darkfuse Demolisher's notes: the unlock quests from the wiki, the box price from Wowhead's guide, and the rate from one player's arithmetic (14 Market Research a chest, 2.6 minutes a heap), which is the weak figure here as there.

From the trove's comments:

  • every faster way players found has been closed (a raid-group trick on two world quests, 2025, fixed within the month)
  • reputation buffs shorten it: a 2026 commenter got 800 a box with the Winds of Mysterious Fortune (50%) and the Darkmoon Faire's (10%)
  • the human racial bonus no longer counts
  • a 2026 comment lists the five S.C.R.A.P. Heaps at 31.9 21.4, 67.5 29.9, 36.8 45.0, 50.8 63.6 and 39.0 81.6, and Sitch at 30.6, 38.8

Whether Raid Finder counts for the raid quest of the campaign was not established. The guide linked (updated 2025) is the one used for the Darkfuse Demolisher; it was not opened again for this mount. A flying mount by the wiki, added in patch 11.1.0; the item asks for level 30 (wiki).

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
