Rare find in Alexstrasza's Gift, the chest that appears when Malygos, the only boss of the Eye of Eternity, is defeated. Both the 10-player and the 25-player raid can hold it.
Chance 2.88% once a week, so about 35 tries on average — Wowhead: 4,241 reins in 147,176 recorded openings of Alexstrasza's Gift (2.88%), added up over its two chest objects, one per raid size: 2,247 in 65,048 (3.45%) and 1,994 in 82,128 (2.43%); read 2026-10-10. Wowhead does not say which chest belongs to which size. Others cite less: the Rarity addon uses 1 in 100, a wow.gg guide 1-2%

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
The entrance is the portal at the top of the Nexus; its coordinates are worked out from the game's map table and agree with the guide's 27.6, 26.6. The Key to the Focusing Iris has not been needed since patch 4.2, and the wiki gives the raid's level as 30.
The 10-player and the 25-player raid lock separately (wow.gg), so a character has two tries a week. About 35 chests are expected at the pooled 2.88%. The time on site is one kill and is an estimate (the guide says 1 to 3 minutes).
The chest has to be opened after the fight, whose last phase is flown on a red drake. The same chest can hold the Blue Drake. Until a hotfix in January 2010 only the 25-player raid dropped it. Wowhead comments from 2025 show it still dropping.
