Notes and sources
The journal's 'Cost: 5,000' is Timewarped Badges: Wowhead's sold-by list (2026) has Mistweaver Xia (NPC 118828, Timewalking Vendor) at 5,000 of currency 1166, and the wiki says the same.
She is the only seller listed, so the reins can be bought only in a Mists of Pandaria Timewalking week (wiki: sold 'during Mists of Pandaria timewalking events'; a 2025 Wowhead comment: 'during Mists Timewalking'). The badges can be earned in any Timewalking week and are transferable within the Warband (wiki; a 2025 Wowhead comment), so badges on other characters count. Which weeks the event falls in was not looked up.
The wiki's own page for Mistweaver Xia does not list the reins among her goods (it has Yu'lei, Daughter of Jade at the same price), which looks like that page being behind. On sale since 7 January 2025 (Wowhead comment); the wiki dates the item to patch 11.0.7 (17 December 2024).
The hours are an estimate; nobody's figure was found. The mount flies (Wowhead comments). The wiki has the item asking for level 25, Wowhead's tooltip for Apprentice Riding.
Coordinates are Wowhead's tooltip position for her (43.0, 55.4 and 55.6); the wiki puts her in front of Emperor Shaohao on the east side of the court.
Confidence in this entry: high. Looked up in 2026.
