In the Vision of Orgrimmar (Horrific Visions Revisited, entered from Soridormi's camp south of the Coreway in Dornogal) with at least one Faceless Mask active, pick up two pieces of wolf rider gear in one run: the Worn Wolf Saddle in the Valley of Honor (indoors, at 67.4, 36.2 on the vision's map; the notes name the building) and the Bag of Wolf Tack beside the main tent in the Valley of Wisdom (39.2, 49.6). Then click the Wolf Skin Rug inside the leatherworking hut in the Drag (60.9, 55.1). That calls the Void-Scarred Wolf, which drops the Void-Scarred Pack Mother's Harness, the item that teaches the mount.

Guides Wowhead: Revisited Horrific Visions Rewards - Patch 11.1.5: Nightfall · Warcraft Secrets: Void-Scarred Pack Mother
Before you go
- A level 80 character and Soridormi's short introduction at the camp (the wiki says the Dornogal entrance has no other unlock: no key, cloak or Heart of Azeroth) · about 0.4 h
- A first Faceless Mask, without which the wolf rider gear cannot be seen: the Mask of the Long Night is the reward for clearing all five areas of a vision in one visit · about 2 h
- A week when the vision is Orgrimmar: everyone gets the same vision each week and the two cities take turns · 7 days
In all: about 2.4 h of play, spread over 7 days, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Dornogal 34.7 68.8 - Take the portal from Stormwind to Dornogal*
- Fly the rest of the way
- Take the portal from Orgrimmar to Dornogal
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
Added with Horrific Visions Revisited in patch 11.1.5. The wiki calls the harness a guaranteed drop from the Void-Scarred Wolf, and Wowhead's item page (2026) has 76 harnesses in 76 recorded loots of that creature (NPC 238836), so it is counted as certain. The journal and Wowhead's guide call the creature the Void-Scarred Pack Mother; Wowhead's loot data and the wiki call it the Void-Scarred Wolf.
In a group only one player gets the harness from a kill (2025 Wowhead comment, Warcraft Secrets), so each player needs a run of their own.
Places on the vision's map (map 2403):
- saddle: 67.4, 36.2, on the floor to the right inside the Valley of Honor's Auction House, near Rexxar (the building is only a landmark here; nothing is bought or sold)
- tack: 39.2, 49.6, outside the main tent behind the Voidcrazed Hulk
- rug: 60.9, 55.1 (Wowhead comment; 61.0, 55.0 on the wiki, 60.8, 55.1 at Warcraft Secrets)
Wowhead's guide marks the rug at 59.5, 54.0, which commenters call some 30 yards off. The rug that works is the grey one on the floor inside the hut, not the brown ones outside, and it can only be clicked once both pieces are held.
Each piece gives a stack of the buff Tattered Wolf Rider Gear; in 2025 the second stack often failed to show and the rug worked all the same. Several players then found it only worked with the saddle picked up before the tack, one with the tack first; a 2026 reply still recommends the saddle first, and Warcraft Secrets says the same.
The top-rated walk-through (2025) reaches the hut by starting the Drag's own event with Garona and clearing its buildings one after another, leaving the Drag's boss alone; a reply says the mount still comes if that boss is killed. Nothing has to be cleared for the mount itself, and runs are not limited (wiki, as found for the Void-Scarred Windrider), so a failed run can be repeated at once in the same week. One mask is enough (wiki, Wowhead's guide, comments; one player tried one, two and five). The time on the spot is an estimate for one such run; no source gives one.
That the visions are still run in Midnight rests on that 2026 reply and on this guide's other Horrific Visions mounts, for which Blizzard was found saying the visions stay playable. Not established: how they scale for a level 90 character, and whether the two cities still alternate week by week in 2026.
Wowhead's guide (updated 2025) dates from The War Within. The place given above and its coordinates are those of the Void-Scarred Windrider, the sister mount from the same vision.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
