Reward of the quest The Hope of K'aresh, which Ve'nari in the Oasis on K'aresh offers once the account has the achievement Ecological Stability: all seven species of the Oasis eco-dome (honey bees, thorntails, rays, snakes, slatebacks, lapbugs and k'arrocs) fully integrated. That takes the whole Ecological Succession story, which brings the species in, and then repeatable quests in the Oasis that each raise one species by a rank. The quest itself is a word with five people standing round her and a cutscene. It is not a world quest, whatever the journal says.

Before you go
- The Ghosts of K'aresh campaign through its fourth chapter: A Shadowy Invitation, Void Alliance, Desert Power and Shadows En Garde, 56 quests, starting in Foundation Hall in Dornogal · about 4 h
- The Ecological Succession story on the character that will take the mount quest: the introduction from Om'talad by the inn in Tazavesh (The Oasis and four more quests), then Ve'nari's eight storylines, which the achievement Otherworldly Ecologist tracks and which fetch the animals from other zones (the bees from Stormsong Valley): The Bees Knees (20 quests), Nesingwary Necessities (9), Roaming Free (13), Fox-strut and Lil' Lapbugs (11), Rays of Sunshine (18), Hard K'arroc (8) and A Slither of Snakes (19) · about 8 h
- The achievement Ecological Stability: each of the seven species at its top rank on the Oasis Console. The story takes a species most of the way; after that every repeatable quest handed in for a species (the blue quests of the experts in the Oasis, such as Dry Cleaning from Rhubarn for the k'arrocs) adds one rank, and they come back twice a week. Progress is shared by the warband, so the same quests done on other characters count as well · about 1.5 h over 7 days
In all: about 13.5 h of play, spread over 7 days, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources
The journal and Wowhead's tooltip say 'World Quest: The Hope of K'aresh'. It is an ordinary quest (88976) from Ve'nari, as 2025 Wowhead comments found and the wiki and Wowhead's guide say: she offers it once the achievement Ecological Stability (41811) is earned. The quest asks to speak with Hemet Nesingwary, Botanist Alaenra, Rhubarn, Om'talad and Ve'nari in the Oasis and plays a cutscene (wiki).
The achievement is account-wide, but the quest shows only on a character that has done the Ecological Succession story (top comment on the achievement; a 2025 reply had the achievement on a second character with no quest there). Of the five achievements under the Ecological Succession meta only Ecological Stability opens the quest; a 2025 comment found that Ecological Variety (a daily for each species) did not.
How many ranks:
- the wiki lists ten progress levels a species
- the top comment on the achievement says each species has to rise nine ranks, and that the repeatable quests, once daily, now return every three and a half days
- Wowhead's guide says rank 9, with the story reaching rank 6
2025 replies confirm one rank a hand-in, on any character. A hotfix of 10 September 2025 made rays, k'arrocs and snakes count; it did not reach back, so an account that had those at top rank before it needed one more repeatable quest for each.
The reports of a single round being enough are from after that fix: one of 2025 (story finished that day, then each creature's quest once), another of 2025 (the writer wondered whether it had been made easier) and one of 2026 (only the k'arrocs were missing after the story, and Dry Cleaning finished it). If a species lacks a repeatable quest on a given day, the 2026 comment found it appearing after the others were picked up.
No report from after Midnight's launch was found, and nothing read suggests the quests were removed; the wiki's pages show no change since patch 11.2.0.
Coordinates: Wowhead's tooltip for Ve'nari (NPC 231820) has 75.8, 34.2, the wiki 75.9, 34.2. A flying mount; the item binds when picked up and asks for level 30 (wiki). The weekly world quest Ecological Succession in the same place gives a cache that can hold another mount, the Curious Slateback, which has its own entry.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
