How to get it

Reward of the quest Off to Tazavesh, Again, the sixteenth quest of Visions of a Shadowed Sun, the storyline of patch 11.2.7 that leads into Midnight. The storyline starts with Meet Arator, from the Silver Hand Squire outside the bank in Dornogal or from the Adventure Guide; the mount's quest is given by Arator on K'aresh and handed in to Ve'nari in Tazavesh. The mount arrives as an item in the bags and has to be used.

Time there about 5 min a visit

Before you go

  • The fifteen quests before it. Chapter one, Radiant Visions: Meet Arator (Silver Hand Squire outside the Dornogal bank; Arator waits on Oztan Isle off the Isle of Dorn), Vereesa's Tale, What Might Come, Bringer of the Void, Blessings Be Upon You, Off to Tazavesh (a portal scroll carries the character to K'aresh). Chapter two, A Meeting with Minn'da: Where in K'aresh is Alleria Windrunner?, The Parent Trap, In Her Shadow, Do You Have a Spare?, Repossession is Nine-Tenths of the Law, Those As Well, A Cage for Alleria, Tag, You're It, A Void Test of Wills · about 2 h

In all: about 2 h of play, starting from nothing.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The journal names the quest and the zone only. The quest (85213) starts with Arator at 60.8, 28.0 on K'aresh and ends with Ve'nari at 60.4, 93.0 in Tazavesh, the Veiled Market (Wowhead's quest page). Its steps are to ask Ve'nari about getting to the Maw, optionally speak with Alleria, and regroup with Arator and Ve'nari at Tazavesh (the wiki, edited 2026).

Still to be had in Midnight: on Wowhead's page for the mount a 2026 question whether it can still be got is answered with 'Quest started just outside the Dornogol bank', and a 2026 reply tells of doing the chain up to this quest and finding the mount in the bags.

Against that, a 2026 comment on the quest's page says only 'I can't get the K'arroc since Midnight came out', with no reply, and a 2026 Blizzard forum thread has the squire standing outside the bank but offering no quest to one player's alt; what stopped them was not established.

Two 2025 comments report finishing the storyline without getting the mount. One explanation given is that it is not added to the collection by itself but lies in the bags to be used; another (the 2026 reply) is that the player had stopped at the earlier quest Off to Tazavesh, which is not this one.

Requirements beyond level 80 were not found:

  • the wiki lists none for Meet Arator (page edited 2026)
  • Blizzard's announcement says only that the storyline continues The War Within campaign and starts from the Adventure Guide
  • the K'aresh campaign is not asked for as far as was read, since the storyline brings its own portal
  • a 2026 Wowhead comment did it on a character with no Shadowlands played at all

The storyline has 29 quests in three chapters and goes on after this one (Here Goes Something, then the chapter Paths Forward); finishing all of it gives the achievement Visions of a Shadowed Sun and a painting for the house, which the mount does not need. A 2025 Wowhead comment complains of much dialogue that cannot be skipped.

The place given above is the hand-in; the zone and map follow this guide's other Tazavesh entries. No guide is linked: the chain is a straight line the quest log follows. Wowhead lists two news posts on it, a playthrough and a rewards post (both 2025), which were not read. The item binds when picked up and asks for level 30 (wiki).

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
