Sold by Necrolord Sipe, the Combatant Mount Quartermaster in Old Town, Stormwind City, for 1 Vicious Saddle. It was the reward of The War Within's third PvP season and has since moved to the saddle vendor. A saddle is earned in rated PvP: wins at 1,000 rating or more fill the Season Rewards bar; the first full bar of a season gives that season's own vicious mount, and every further full bar in the same season gives a Vicious Saddle.

Notes and sources
Necrolord Sipe in Stormwind City sells it for 1 Vicious Saddle: the wiki's 2026 page for the vendor lists it in his stock at that price, and its page for the mount names him for the Alliance and Deathguard Netharian in Orgrimmar for the Horde. The coordinates are the wiki's for Necrolord Sipe, the same as elsewhere in this guide.
The journal and Wowhead's tooltip still give only the old source, The War Within Season 3 (patch 11.2), and name no vendor. That season is over, but each expansion's vicious mounts are put on the saddle vendors near the start of the next one (the wiki's page for the saddle). Wowhead's page for the Alliance item (243157) was not checked; Wowhead's page for the Horde item lists the mount under sold-by at a cost of 1.
Saddles can only be earned while a rated PvP season is running. Midnight Season 2 began on 18 August 2026 and the wiki lists it as ongoing; its own mount is the Vicious Lightbloom Boar. In the wiki's words a saddle comes 'each time the Rated PvP progress bar is filled to 100%' after the current seasonal mount has been earned, and since patch 8.0.1 a character can earn several in a season.
The saddle binds when picked up and the vendor is an Alliance one, so the bar has to be filled on an Alliance character. The guide gives no win count for Solo Shuffle or Battleground Blitz, and the points a win pays this season were not found; the bar on the Rated tab of the PvP window shows the progress. A hotfix of 30 January 2026 mended progress towards this mount during the PvP off-season (wiki).
This is the Alliance mount (item 243157); the Horde Vicious Void Creeper (item 243159) is a separate mount. It is a ground mount; the item asks for level 10 and binds when picked up (wiki). Added in patch 11.2.0.
The guide linked is written for the Vicious War Ram and does not name the Void Creeper, but the way to a saddle and the vendor are the same.
