Reward of the achievement Allied Race: Haranir. Its one criterion is the Harandar campaign, which ends with the quest The War Beyond the Roots: play Harandar's three story chapters (Of Caves and Cradles, Call of the Goddess, Emergence), take the quest from Elder Hagar at the Harandar portal in Silvermoon City and hand it in to Lor'themar Theron in the Sanctum of Light. That completes the achievement, unlocks the haranir as a playable race and gives the mount.

Guide wow.gg: Ivory Grimlynx
Before you go
- The Harandar campaign, about 50 quests in three chapters: Of Caves and Cradles (from Harandar to Seeds of the Rift), Call of the Goddess (from To Sow the Seed to Tell the People What You Have Seen) and Emergence (from The Frenzied March by way of Rise of the Haranir to Looming Shadows). It is what the achievement One Does Not Simply Walk Into Harandar tracks · about 3.5 h
- The War Beyond the Roots: taken from Elder Hagar by the Harandar portal in Silvermoon City (36.6, 68.6), handed in to Lor'themar Theron in the Sanctum of Light (45.4, 70.4) · about 0.1 h
In all: about 3.6 h of play, starting from nothing.

- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
The mount is the reward of the achievement for Harandar's campaign. Wowhead's tooltip for the achievement (61506) reads 'Complete the Harandar Campaign', reward Ivory Grimlynx, account-wide; on its page that criterion links to quest 95324, which is The War Beyond the Roots, and the quest's page lists the achievement under 'criteria of'. So the quest is the step that pays out, and the place given is where it is handed in.
The campaign is counted here as not yet done, since it is the whole of what earns the mount; a character that has already played Harandar's story only has the last quest left. That happens: the quest was not in the game during Midnight's early access (wiki; a 2026 Wowhead comment tells those players to pick it up in Silvermoon). The wiki gives Rise of the Haranir, the campaign's last quest but one, as the quest before it.
Elder Hagar is easy to miss. From 2026 Wowhead comments:
- the elder is gone once the campaign quest Looming Shadows has been taken instead
- the elder is back at the portal when Looming Shadows is handed in to Lor'themar and the next quest, Rising Storm, is accepted
- if the quest is abandoned, the elder only returns when the zone is left and entered again
Coordinates are the pins on Wowhead's quest page (Silvermoon City: Elder Hagar 36.6, 68.6, Lor'themar Theron 45.4, 70.4); wow.gg gives 36.6, 68.5 for Elder Hagar in the Gardens of Remembrance. Silvermoon City is put on map 0, as for this guide's other mounts in the new city.
Not established: how the mount is handed over (the reins are an item that binds when picked up; wow.gg only says it is added to the collection), and whether anything of the Midnight campaign beyond Harandar is asked; no source names such a thing.
Guides: wow.gg's is written for this mount. Wowhead has a 'Haranir Allied Race Guide - Classes, Racials & Customization'; it was not read, so it is not linked. The item page has one comment and no guide attached. Added in patch 12.0.1 (wiki).
Confidence in this entry: high. Looked up in 2026.
