How to get it

Looted from the Peculiar Cauldron, a treasure under a bridge on the river east of Har'mara in north-western Harandar. The cauldron only opens for a character carrying 150 Crystalized Resin Fragments. Those are looted 2 to 7 at a time from Flame-Hardened Sap of Teldrassil, small objects that keep appearing in and beside that same river, from the waterfall at its head down to the last shelf before the Den.

Time there about 2 min a visit

Before you go

  • 150 Crystalized Resin Fragments from Flame-Hardened Sap of Teldrassil along the river that runs past the cauldron (about 40.0, 21.4 at its head to 49.3, 51.2 by the Den); the sap is not shown on the minimap · about 0.6 h

In all: about 0.6 h of play, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources

The journal's 'Treasure: Peculiar Cauldron' leaves out the 150 fragments. The fragments are gathered on the stretch of river the cauldron stands on, so it is one trip: about 40 minutes in all, of which the 2 minutes on the spot are the looting.

Wowhead's guide (updated 2026) puts the cauldron at 40.7, 28.1, 'by the river that flows through northwestern Harandar, east of Har'mara', and Method (2026) at 40.65, 28.00 and 40.66, 28.05, 'underneath a bridge'. Wowhead's tooltip for the cauldron itself (object 614483) has the same 40.7, 28.1. A 2026 comment lists 21 spots along the river.

Tips from Wowhead's comments (2026):

  • fly slowly above the river with steady flight and look for the outline of the sap, which is easier to see from above than close by
  • it also lies under lily pads, between rocks and on the waterfall shelves
  • a key bound to Interact helps
  • a demon hunter's Spectral Sight shows it

The sap comes back within seconds of being looted and more of it appears when more players are gathering (Method, and a 2026 comment); it is found in no other river and not in the Den's water (2026 comment).

Several players stuck at 149 fragments found no more sap until they destroyed one fragment (a 2026 comment with four replies saying the same), and a 2026 reply could not loot a sap that would take the count past 150. Fragments left in the bank do not count.

Wowhead records the mount in 940 of 976 opened cauldrons; it is taken here as always there, the rest being put down to characters whose account already had it, which is not confirmed. Method adds 50 reputation with the Hara'ti. The item's name is spelt Crystalized, with one l (item 260531).

The cauldron is one of the nine treasures of the achievement Treasures of Harandar, whose reward is the Vivacious Chloroceros. Whether the cauldron asks for a level is not established. The item binds when picked up and asks for level 10 (wiki); added in patch 12.0.1. The wiki has no page for the cauldron.

Confidence in this entry: high. Looked up in 2026.
