How to get it

Reward of the quest From Darkness, Light, the last quest of The War of Light and Shadow, Midnight's campaign at level 90. The campaign has six chapters: Foothold, The Voidspire, Gathering of the Elves, The Battle of the Bridge, The Darkwell and Dawn of a New Well. Two of its quests ask for a raid to be completed, The Voidspire and March on Quel'Danas. At the end Lady Liadrin leads the ritual that turns the Darkwell into the Dawnwell on the Isle of Quel'Danas and hands over the mount.

Notes and sources

The journal calls it a world quest; the wiki and Wowhead have From Darkness, Light as an ordinary campaign quest (Wowhead quest 90867, level 90, either faction) that also gives two Farstriders statues (housing decor) and 1,000 Silvermoon Court reputation. The achievement The War of Light and Shadow is account-wide and so is the mount once learned, so an account that has played Midnight's story to its end already owns it.

The last chapter went live on 7 April 2026 (Wowhead news), and a hotfix of 21 July 2026 put the quest givers at the Dawnwell back in place (wiki).

The wiki's page for the achievement lists the criteria in another order, and its Midnight endgame page speaks of five chapters while listing six. Which difficulties count for the Voidspire quest was not found stated; for March on Quel'Danas Icy Veins says any. The Battle of the Bridge rewards another mount on the way, the Emerald Hawkstrider (wiki).

Every hour figure is an estimate: no source gives a time, and no Wowhead guide to the campaign was found, so the links are the wiki's quest-by-quest list, Wowhead's news post on the final chapter and Icy Veins on the raid quest. The time on the spot is the ritual only, an estimate; the campaign's time is in the list above.

Neither the wiki nor Wowhead gives Liadrin's position. The coordinates were worked out from the game's own quest marker tables (QuestPOIBlob and QuestPOIPoint, from wago.tools): the quest's marker is on the Isle of Quel'Danas at 52.6, 45.9, with a second one under another condition at 52.6, 51.9. The same tables put the campaign's first quest, Feeding the Flame, at Silvermoon City 45.5, 70.3 and then on the isle at 53.1, 58.7. The wiki's page for that quest names Daylight is Breaking as the quest before it, where its endgame page names The Last Push as the end of the levelling campaign.
