Notes and sources
The journal's 'Cost: 6,000' is Voidlight Marl, and it leaves out the renown: Wowhead's guide (updated 2026) lists the bear at Renown 17 for 6,000, and the wiki agrees on both ('At Renown level 17 with the Amani Tribe'). Magovu also sells the Amani Windcaller at Renown 19 for 8,000, so both mounts take 14,000 Marl.
Confidence is medium because of the time: no source gives a pace to Renown 17, and the weeks are worked out from a few published amounts. wow.gg's guide for this mount (updated 2026) reads like a translation with the names off (it calls the currency Duskfathom Marl and the vendor Magou), but its figures match: Renown 17, 6,000, the same spot within a step, and it reckons '3-4 weeks' of active play for the Marl alongside the renown.
Sources disagree on the rares, as set out for the Amani Windcaller: Wowhead's guide says to kill Zul'Aman's rares every week, a comment under it says that gives no reputation after the first time.
Halduron Brightwing's dungeon quest goes to one faction of the player's choice each week, so it counts only if spent here. A Contract: The Amani Tribe adds reputation to world quests in any Midnight zone, and the Darkmoon Faire and the world quest bonus event raise what is earned (Wowhead's guide, wow.gg).
Coordinates are Wowhead's tooltip for Magovu (npc 240279) and its guide's (45.8, 65.8); wow.gg has 45.92, 65.90. A ground mount (wiki, Wowhead's guide); the item binds when picked up. Added in patch 12.0.1 (wiki).
