Notes and sources
The Horde's version of the mount; the Alliance's Traveler's Tundra Mammoth is a separate mount (item 44235) from the same vendor at the same price. The place and coordinates given above are taken from it and were not looked up again.
Mei Francis stands in the Dalaran above Crystalsong Forest, which the journal names as the zone; a 2019 comment warns not to drop down into the forest for it. Wowhead also shows a second Mei Francis in the Broken Isles' Dalaran selling the same reins.
The price kept here is the undiscounted 20,000 of the journal, the tooltip and the wiki. She belongs to the Kirin Tor, whose standing lowers her prices. Wowhead's sold-by list for the Horde reins (as read in 2026) shows 17,000 gold at the Mei Francis of Northrend's Dalaran and 16,000 at the one in the Broken Isles' Dalaran. Those match the Revered and the Exalted price that commenters give for the Alliance's mammoth, so they look like the standing of whoever uploaded them; a comment on the page gives 20,000 at Neutral and 16,000 at Exalted.
The mammoth seats three and carries two vendors, on the Horde's version Drix Blackwrench for repairs and Mojodishu for general goods; since patch 10.0.2 they serve either faction (wiki). It needs level 17 and Apprentice Riding (wiki).
The wiki says the reins have been account-bound across both factions since patch 5.1, which would let an account with either version ride the mammoth on all its characters; this guide still lists the two as separate mounts.
Confidence in this entry: high. Looked up in 2026.
