Notes and sources
Sergeant Vornin sells it at Ritual Sites renown rank 8. His place is Wowhead's tooltip (48.4 to 48.6, 50.2 to 50.6; the wiki has 48.68, 50.36); Method's waypoint for this mount, 50.51, 48.63, looks like the same two numbers swapped. Vornin also sells the Unbound Manawyrm, on other terms.
The journal data gives 'Cost: 4,500' without a currency. Wowhead's sold-by list has Sergeant Vornin (NPC 255503) at 4,500 of currency 3316, which is Voidlight Marl, and the wiki says the same and adds that the game's journal wrongly shows 50 Field Accolades. Method's guide, written on the day of the patch, has 4,500 in its header and '50 Field Accolades' in its text; the text is taken to be the journal's mistake.
The item itself reads 'Requires Renown Rank 8 with Ritual Sites', and Wowhead's renown table has rank 8, the last, as 'Corrupted Transport: You can now purchase a mount from Sergeant Vornin'. The mount it teaches is listed as Void-Corrupted Hawkstrider by the wiki and in Wowhead's guide. Added in patch 12.0.5 (21 April 2026).
The weak figure is the time for the renown: only Method gives one, and nothing read says how much reputation a rank takes. If it is 2,500 like other renowns, eight ranks are 20,000, some 40 to 50 runs at the guide's example of 330 to 507 Spoils, which would fit Method's hours at about 12 minutes a run; that is arithmetic on an assumption, not a reading. The weekly 1,250 only helps a little unless the work is spread over many weeks.
Since patch 12.0.7 there is a sixth tier (six challenges). A 2026 comment, after patch 12.1, says the sites' enemies were left as they were and are weak by now, a tier 6 run paying 145 Field Accolades and 'a bunch of' Marl, so the pace may be better than Method's.
Whether the renown counts for the whole Warband was not established; Field Accolades do not transfer (Wowhead guide). Tiers 3 and up ask for challenges, which have to be unlocked one by one (the guide has the table). The obelisks: 34.9, 65.4 in Eversong Woods and 29.7, 78.2 in Zul'Aman (Wowhead guide).
