Notes and sources
The journal's "Cost: 100" is 100 Champion's Seals (the wiki's page for the mount, as read in 2026). About 18 days of dailies in all for a troll starting from nothing, 23 for another Horde race.
Who Samamba sells to: the wiki's page for the mount says 'Samamba will only sell to trolls or champions of Sen'jin', and her own page quotes 'What she got only for de Sen'jin champions'. Champion of Sen'jin is taken as the requirement, as for the other city mounts; it was not confirmed in the game. Wowhead's Argent Tournament guide (updated 2022) says the city mounts unlock on becoming an Exalted Champion of the city; the wiki and the vendor's own words do not ask for that, so this guide does not. Whether a Zandalari troll counts as a troll for the home-city rule was not established.
The coordinates given above are Wowhead's tooltip position for Samamba (npc 33554): 76.0, 24.4, a few steps from Freka Bloodaxe at 76.4, 24.2. The wiki gives none and places Samamba in the Sunreaver Pavilion.
More seals a day are possible: 3 from the bosses of heroic Trial of the Champion, and further dailies open with Exalted Argent Champion and with The Sunreavers (the wiki counts up to 17 a day with everything open). Threat From Above (2 of the 5 daily seals) needs The Black Knight's Fall done first. The wiki marks the Champion's Seal as Warband Transferrable since patch 11.0.0, so seals earned by another character can be moved to the buyer; the buyer still has to be Champion of Sen'jin. Wowhead's guide notes that since patch 7.2.5 the tournament's mounts only have to be unlocked on one faction.
The mount was called Swift Darkspear Raptor until patch 3.1.2, when its old look went to the Swift Purple Raptor, which the same vendor sells for 500 gold and 5 seals (wiki). The item asks for level 17 and Apprentice Riding (wiki) and binds when picked up.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
