Void-Corrupted Hex Eagle

Inside the Broken Throne Ritual Site in Zul'Aman, entered on tier 2 or higher, there is an unfinished ritual circle on a platform near the middle of the site (50.6, 47.3 on the site's own map): four skulls, one of them without a candle. Pick up the Misplaced Ritual Candle under the tree just to the right of the circle, place it on the bare skull, then click the candles in the middle. That summons the Void-Corrupted Hex Eagle, which drops the Void-Corrupted Eagle Talon, the item that teaches the mount. Nothing else in the site has to be done.

Before you go
- Ritual Sites unlocked at level 90: Void Strike from Ranger Captain Lilatha in Silvermoon City, the three short follow-ups (Outfitting and Allies, Manifested Density, Ritual Interest), then Ritual Problems from Lady Darkglen, which has one Ritual Site completed; after a first completed site tier 2 can be chosen · about 1 h
- Broken Throne has to be the week's active site: only one Ritual Site is open each week, alternating with Daggerspine Point in Eversong Woods · 7 days
In all: about 1 h of play, spread over 7 days, starting from nothing.

- Take the portal from Orgrimmar to Silvermoon*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
The journal's 'Ritual Site: Broken Throne' is this hidden ritual. Added in patch 12.0.5 (21 April 2026).
The obelisk: Wowhead's guide (updated 2026) gives 29.7, 78.2 in Zul'Aman; the Witherbark Warbear Mother's notes, for the same site, have 28.75, 77.65. Wowhead's tooltip for the obelisk has no coordinates. Tier: the wiki, Wowhead's guide, Method and the comments all say tier 2 or higher; a search excerpt of another site said tier 3, which nothing read supports. A Ritual Site is a scenario for one to five players (wiki).
Inside the site (its own map, 2585) the candle is at 51.5, 47.8 and the circle at 50.6, 47.3, with the bare skull on its north-east corner (50.75, 47.16). Clicking the middle before the candle is placed summons three Void-Corrupted Hex Eaglets instead of the eagle (a 2026 comment).
The wiki calls the talon 'a guaranteed drop' from the summoned eagle, and Wowhead's guide, Method and three well-voted Wowhead comments describe the same steps without any chance; Wowhead's tooltip has no drop figure. The time on the spot is a guess for walking in, the ritual and the fight; one player says it took less than five minutes.
Riding the eagle inside the same site shows a trail of burning feathers and a whirlwind at 49.6, 77.9 that carries the rider to a nest with the Void-Scarred Eaglet pet, and the site's other hidden mount, the Witherbark Warbear Mother, can be done on the same visit (a 2026 comment).
Not established:
- whether the obelisk can be used before Ritual Problems is accepted (by the wiki, the unlock chain may begin with an optional lead-in, Ranger Captain's Summons)
- whether the eagle can be summoned again by an account that has the mount
Confidence in this entry: high. Looked up in 2026.
