How to get it

Sold by Kifaan for 15 Voidlight Marl once the achievement Heroic Showdowns is earned. Kifaan stands at the Umbral Base Camp of Val and of Naigtal, the two small worlds of the Showdown feature, which are reached through a portal in Voidstorm and are open in alternate weeks. The achievement is six others, all earned on the Heroic World Tier, the harder of the two settings offered at the portal: Heroic: Worlds Ahead, Heroic: Power Creep, Heroic: Pain of Command, Heroic Slugger, Heroic Climate Strange: Val and Heroic Climate Strange: Naigtal.

Notes and sources

The Heroic counterpart of the Voidmancer's Starcarver and the Netherforged Nullframe, from the same vendor; the place, the unlock and the two-week span are theirs. Added in patch 12.0.7 (16 June 2026).

The unlock is Heroic Showdowns, achievement 63264: account-wide, six achievements (wiki and Wowhead's tooltip, which reads 'Reward: Unlock the Tortured Gorger for purchase'), so the parts can be earned on different characters. The journal files the mount under achievements and gives the cost without its currency.

The price is 15 Voidlight Marl: Wowhead's sold-by list has Kifaan twice, once on each world, at that price, and the wiki, Method and Wowhead's guide agree. A search excerpt speaks of a listing of 4,500, which no other source bears out.

What Heroic means: Wowhead's guide recommends item level 274 for it (219 for Normal) and says it 'drastically increases the health and damage of all enemies' and adds Patrolling Death Squads, groups of elite rares that attack players in their path (the Warp Riders on Naigtal); the wiki adds that creatures carry affixes there. Comments of June 2026 under the guide call Heroic Val much harder than Heroic Naigtal.

There is no flying or skyriding on either world: they are scenarios, entered only through the portal (Wowhead's guide), so the way to the portal can be flown but nothing beyond it. Not established: whether a character can change tier within a week, or has to leave and enter again to do so.

The world bosses: Wowhead's guide gives Naigtal two that share one health pool, Nexus-Captain Leth'ir and Adjutant Mertei, and the achievement names only Leth'ir; Method says to look for the skull on the map and at the group finder. A Wowhead comment of July 2026 on the item reaches Pertinax through a quest that opens after another (quests 96473 and 96053); whether the boss can be fought without it was not established.

The same comment and one of June 2026 under the guide have rares 20 minutes apart, one at a time, unable to be attacked for their first three minutes, with the remaining time of the world quests as a clock.

The storms are the weak point of the time estimate: the 30 to 60 minutes come from Method's test-realm notes, as read for the Voidmancer's Starcarver, and no figure from the live game was found. The Wowhead comment describes each storm as a world quest (Val's is eight Storm elementals to kill) that 'respawns', and says those done on Heroic count for the Normal achievements as well, as do Heroic rare kills. So an account that still wants the Voidmancer's Starcarver and the Netherforged Nullframe can earn most of their open-world parts in the same hours by staying on Heroic.
