Guides Wowhead: Zul'jarra's Forces Renown Guide - Patch 12.1 Farming and Rewards · Method: Zul'jarra's Forces Reputation Guide

• The Coiled Isle opened: The Curse of Ula'tek campaign, chapter 1 (Hagar's Invitation from Orweyna in Silvermoon City, then Return to Amani'Zar and Lady Liadrin in Amani'Zar Village, Zul'Aman) and chapter 2 as far as What Lies Beyond the Fog. The same quests open the renown · about 3 h
• Renown 17 with Zul'jarra's Forces: 16 ranks above the first at 2,500 reputation each, 40,000 in all, counted for the whole Warband. Once only: the campaign and side quests of the isle, its 22 treasures (50 each), 10 lore objects (250 each) and 12 rares (50 each). Every week: Turn Back The Surge (1,000), Halduron Brightwing's dungeon quest in Silvermoon (1,000, to one faction of choice), Purging the Vaults, a Bountiful Delve and the lair of Nymrissa Wavecaller (200). Every day: world quests on the isle, the quests in the Vaults of Atal'Utek (50 each) and Curse Surges (50 each) · about 20 h over 5 weeks
• 6,000 Voidlight Marl, the currency of Midnight's outdoor vendors. Jan'sari hands out some on the way (Zul'jarra's Bounty at ranks 6 and 12: 500 and 1,000 by Method); the rest comes from Midnight's outdoor activities: Prey hunts, world quests, rares, delves · about 3 h

In all: about 26 h of play, spread over 5 weeks, starting from nothing.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Added in patch 12.1.0 (11 August 2026). Sold by Jan'sari the Watchful (NPC 268228) at Renown rank 17 with Zul'jarra's Forces. The journal's "Cost: 6,000" is Voidlight Marl: Wowhead's sold-by list has the vendor at 6,000 of currency 3316, and its tooltip for the item says "Requires Renown Rank 17 with Zul'jarra's Forces". Wowhead's renown guide, Method, Blizzard Watch and the wiki all put the mount at rank 17 (the reward is called Three Heads Are Better Than One) and the Violet-Backed Skyfang at 19 for 8,000.

Renown is Warband-wide, and Voidlight Marl can be moved between the Warband's characters (wiki).

Medium confidence because of the time: no guide gives a pace to rank 17, and none gives as a number what the campaign and the side quests pay, nor what Purging the Vaults, a world quest or a Bountiful Delve gives. The guide reckons 18 days for rank 10 of the same faction for the Spirit of Tok'jara. The 40,000 assumes an account starts at rank 1 with nothing (Wowhead's guide: rank 1 is where reputation begins); counted as 17 full ranks it would be 42,500. Halduron's dungeon quest goes to one faction of the player's choice each week, so it counts only if spent here.

Helps:

• a Contract: Zul'jarra's Forces adds reputation to every world quest in any Midnight zone (Wowhead's guide; 10 or 15 a quest by Method)
• the World Quest Bonus Event, 50% more from world quests (Method)
• smaller holiday bonuses (Method)

Place: the only comment on Wowhead's item page (2026), Wowhead's guide and Method give 58.8, 46.0 on the isle's map; the wiki has 58.78, 45.95 and Icy Veins (search excerpt) 58.77, 45.97. Besides flying across the strait from Zul'Aman, there is a portal in Astalor's Sanctum in Silvermoon City, opened by a few short quests (Method). Whether flying works on the isle was not checked; the guide's other Coiled Isle mounts assume it does.

A third gift of Marl comes at rank 18, after the mount.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
