Reward of the achievement Assault the Vault: earn ten achievements in the Vaults of Atal'Utek, the underground temple inside the mountain of The Coiled Isle. They cover the Vaults' public events (every Temple Patrol, Temple Strike and Temple Incursion once, all three Ancient Foes, and four small feats during particular events), the twelve Funerary Inscriptions, and every talent of the Altar of Corrosion. The Ancient Foes take turns week by week and the last altar talent comes at Renown 14 with Zul'jarra's Forces, so from nothing it takes about a month.

Before you go
- The Coiled Isle opened: The Curse of Ula'tek campaign, chapter 1 and chapter 2 as far as What Lies Beyond the Fog, which leads to the isle and the Vaults · about 3 h
- The Vaults' introduction: Into the Vaults of Atal'Utek from Warleader Abdumati or Mok'sa the Stone and its follow-ups (A Toxic Tour, which opens the Temple Assault events), then One Coin Too Many and The Altar of Corrosion from Er'inye, which open the altar. Done once, it opens the events for the whole warband · about 1 h
- Renown 14 with Zul'jarra's Forces: 35,000 reputation at 2,500 a level, counted for the whole account. Renown 8 and Renown 14 each give one point of Spirit Corrosion, and the altar's last talent cannot be had without both. Coins come from enemies, treasures, daily quests and the events: 20 for a patrol, 75 for a strike, 175 for an incursion, 200 for an Ancient Foe, and every 5 points spent raise what is found, up to +225% · about 20 h
- Oppose the Foes: defeat the three Ancient Foes, Congealed Malice, Susarikk and Khu'tulak. One of them is up each week; it wakes when a Temple Incursion succeeds and has to be beaten within 10 minutes · about 1.5 h over 3 weeks

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight

Notes and sources
A project of several weeks, not a trip: the mount is granted when the tenth achievement completes. Added in patch 12.1.0 (11 August 2026); achievement 63630, with account-wide progress (Wowhead).
The ten, with Wowhead's ids:
- Roll the Patrol (63598)
- Submerge the Incursion (63599)
- A Lone Wanderer (62649)
- Ritual Behavior (62600)
- The Honored Dead (63610)
- Spike the Strike (63600)
- Oppose the Foes (63601)
- Dance While Everyone Watches (62604)
- Soft Underbelly (62601), account-wide since a hotfix of 9 September 2026 (wiki)
- Fully Corroded (63636)
The days of the requirements overlap; what sets the pace is the renown and the three weeks of Ancient Foes.
Spirit Corrosion: Wowhead's guide (2026) speaks of 15 points from coins, 2 from renown and 4 from relics, 21 in all, and of 20 talents to unlock, but its own price table has 14 purchases. A 2026 comment says a 17,500-coin step was dropped, and it and two other 2026 comments all describe being left one short until Renown 14. So 14 + 4 + 2 = 20 is taken as the current rule, and Renown 14 as required. Points are shared by the warband, but each character spends its own (Wowhead's guide); whether the achievement asks for one character to hold all 20 was not found. One of those commenters advises spending coins on points at once, for the growing bonus.
Relic keys by Wowhead's guide (Method, written before the patch, names only the events in general):
- Dispelling Charm from High Priest Jin'tal
- Spirit Loupe from an Ancient Foe
- Corroded Key from a Temple Strike
- Excising Knife from a Temple Incursion
Where sources disagree:
- the wiki's page for the Vaults lists eleven patrols, the achievement and both guides twelve
- a Wowhead comment says three patrol kinds are up at a time; Wowhead's guide says five kinds, with three patrols active every 10 minutes
- Wowhead's guide says three named elites are present in each Underbelly strike, and the commenter warns that Soft Underbelly's progress is partly reset when the strike ends with one of the three untagged
Wowhead's guide calls incursions and Ancient Foes group activities and says an incursion takes at least a party to finish in time. That is its judgement of the pace: no step, as described, needs several players by its mechanics, so no player count is set. A raid group can also finish an event too fast: the sky shrine switches off when the Earth and Sky bar fills, and the ritual closes when its 21 ingredients are in (comment).
Flying is off inside the Vaults; each tunnel gives a speed boost to ground mounts, and Spiritwing Gusts carry players about inside (Wowhead's guide).
The gates on The Coiled Isle's map (Wowhead's guide, wiki); which is nearest to the Amani Foothold was not checked:
- Gate of the Western Fang 31.8, 64.9
- Gate of the Serpent's Eye 43.4, 44.2
- Gate of the Eastern Fang 45.4, 64.9
The place given above is the Altar of Corrosion at the Amani Foothold on the Vaults' own map (Method: 51.2, 62.6; Er'inye at 51.08, 62.80; a waypoint 47.23, 60.97 beside its pictures of Warleader Abdumati). Method's guide for the mount was written two days before the patch and gives the Western Fang gate as a point on the Vaults' map (31.10, 64.94), which looks like the isle's coordinate.
The achievement Pro Poison Patroller (250 patrols) gives another mount and is not part of this one. Wowhead's page for the item has no comments yet; the wiki has no page for the Altar of Corrosion.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
