Sold by Zachariah Post, the Undead Horse Merchant in Brill, Tirisfal Glades, for 1 gold. Forsaken buy it outright; every other Horde race has to be Exalted with Undercity first. The Brill he trades in is the one of the past: speak with Zidormi in Tirisfal Glades to see the zone as it was before the Battle for Lordaeron.
Time there about 2 min a visit
Before you go
- Tirisfal Glades switched to the past: speak with Zidormi (69.4, 62.8) and ask to see the zone before the Battle for Lordaeron. A character that still sees the old zone skips this · about 0.1 h
- Exalted with Undercity, unless the buyer is Forsaken: the Undercity Tabard from the quartermaster, Captain Donald Adams, worn in dungeons turns their reputation into Undercity's; quests in Tirisfal Glades, Silverpine Forest, Hillsbrad Foothills and Western Plaguelands count too · about 3 h
- 1 gold
In all: about 3.1 h of play, 1 gold, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Tirisfal Glades 61.8 51.8 - Take the portal from Orgrimmar to Undercity*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
The place given above is the old Brill of the past, reached through Zidormi. Zachariah Post stands in three versions of the world, and only the first is confirmed to sell:
- old Brill, through Zidormi: Wowhead's one recorded point is 61.8, 51.8, and a 2023 comment (a level 70 blood elf, Exalted with Undercity) says he could be traded with there
- after the Battle for Lordaeron, among the Forsaken refugees on top of the Gates of Orgrimmar (wiki); no coordinates were found for that spot
- after the Return to Lordaeron quests of patch 9.2.5, back in the rebuilt Brill (59.8, 51.5 in the same comment, which says he offered no dialogue or vendor window there); a 2022 comment puts him in a tent in the north-east corner of the Ruins of Lordaeron
Whether the Orgrimmar and Ruins of Lordaeron copies sell the mounts today was not established. Since patch 9.2.5 Zidormi's "present" for a character that has done Return to Lordaeron is the rebuilt zone (wiki).
The wiki gives Captain Donald Adams in the Trade Quarter of the old Undercity (63.6, 48.8) and also lists him with the refugees on the Gates of Orgrimmar.
The mount asks for level 10 (wiki, since patch 9.0.1); an Exalted buyer pays 20% less. Zachariah Post sells the Blue, Brown and Red Skeletal Horses at the same price and three Skeletal Warhorses at 10 gold.
