How to get it

Sold by Trellis Morningsun, the Silvermoon quartermaster at the Argent Tournament, for 500 gold plus 5 Champion's Seals, to characters who are Champion of Silvermoon City. A character that is not a blood elf also has to be Exalted with Silvermoon City.

Before you go

Champion of Silvermoon City: 3 days of Aspirant dailies (15 Aspirant's Seals at 5 a day), then 5 days of Valiant of Silvermoon City dailies (25 Valiant's Seals at 5 a day) and The Valiant's Challenge. A character whose first city is not Silvermoon City champions its own city first and Silvermoon City after it: 13 days · about 2.5 h over 8 days
Exalted with Silvermoon City, unless the buyer is a blood elf: the Silvermoon City Tabard worn in dungeons turns their reputation into Silvermoon City's, and a Champion's Writ, taken instead of a Champion's Purse from the Champion dailies, buys a Silvermoon Commendation Badge worth 250 from Trellis Morningsun · about 3.5 h
5 Champion's Seals, which the journal text does not mention (covered by the 10 awarded by A Champion Rises on reaching Champion)
500 gold

In all: about 6 h of play, spread over 8 days, 500 gold, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources

Horde characters only. The journal's "Cost: 500 gold" leaves out the 5 seals. The coordinates given above are Wowhead's tooltip position for Trellis Morningsun; wow.gg gives 76.1, 24.4. The item needs level 17 and Apprentice Riding by the wiki.

Two items teach this mount, both sold by Trellis Morningsun for 500 gold: 46751, whose tooltip as the wiki copies it has no reputation line, and 46761, whose Wowhead tooltip (as read in 2026) says "Requires Silvermoon City - Exalted". As for the Swift Burgundy Wolf, that is taken as the usual rule for racial mounts: a blood elf is sold the first, any other Horde race needs Exalted for the second. Which item he shows to whom was not confirmed in the game.

The sources do not agree on who may buy:

the wiki's page for the mount and wow.gg (2026): a blood elf or a Champion of Silvermoon City, with no word of Exalted
the wiki quotes Trellis himself as selling only to "the esteemed champions of Silvermoon City"
Wowhead's Argent Tournament guide (updated 2022): these mounts unlock on becoming an Exalted Champion of the city

Whether a blood elf who is not yet Champion can buy from him was not established, so Champion is kept as a requirement for everyone. The wiki marks Champion's Seals as Warband Transferrable since patch 11.0, so seals from another character can be sent to the buyer.

The Silvermoon City Tabard costs 10 silver from Trellis Morningsun himself and from the Silvermoon City quartermaster Magistrix Nizara (the wiki's page on the tabard; its page on Trellis still lists the 50 Champion's Seals it cost before patch 4.0.3a). By the wiki, Magistrix Nizara stands in the old Eversong Woods (the Burning Crusade version of the zone, 54.2, 50.8) and since Midnight also in the Royal Exchange of Silvermoon City (Wowhead's tooltip: 69.0, 67.4).

By the wiki's Championing table a city tabard earns 1,100 to 2,300 reputation a heroic Wrath of the Lich King dungeon, and championing all five Horde cities at the tournament brings about 11,250 reputation with each (wiki). wow.gg says that at level 90 the tournament's quests are done at once and only the daily reset holds a character back.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
