How to get it

Guide wow.gg: Silver Covenant Hippogryph

Before you go

Champion of the character's own city: 3 days of Aspirant dailies (15 Aspirant's Seals at 5 a day), then 5 days of Valiant dailies (25 Valiant's Seals at 5 a day), The Valiant's Challenge and A Champion Rises · about 3 h over 8 days
Exalted with The Silver Covenant: 42,000 reputation from Neutral, at 250 for every Aspirant, Valiant and Champion daily. About 7,250 comes on the way to Champion (three dailies a day as Aspirant, four as Valiant). After that the four Champion dailies give 1,000 a day, and the four Valiant dailies of a further city, which a Champion can take up alongside them, another 1,000 · about 9 h over 4 weeks
150 Champion's Seals: 10 from A Champion Rises, then 5 a day from the four Champion dailies, or 9 when the Champion's Purse is taken as each quest's reward. They come from the same dailies as the reputation and are on hand by the time Exalted is reached

In all: about 12 h of play, spread over 4 weeks, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources

The journal's "Cost: 150" is 150 Champion's Seals: Wowhead's sold-by list (as read in 2026) shows Hiren Loresong at 150 of currency 241. Coordinates: the wiki's 76.2, 19.6; Wowhead's tooltip has 76.2, 19.4 and 76.2, 19.6. He also sells the Quel'dorei Steed for 100 seals.

Wowhead's tooltip names only the Exalted standing; the wiki says his tournament goods open with the achievement A Silver Confidant, whose criteria are Exalted with the Silver Covenant and the quest A Champion Rises. Either way both are needed, since the seals come only with the Champion rank.

About 33 days of dailies in all by this guide's reckoning; a wow.gg guide (updated 2026) says 22 to 35. The reputation is the slow part and the weakest figure here. A 2009 Wowhead comment says Exalted always came before the 150th seal; by this guide's reckoning the two arrive at about the same time. The wiki also mentions reputation spilling over from Northrend dungeons run without a tabard; whether that still pays was not checked. A faction change resets the standing to Neutral (a 2010 Wowhead comment).

More seals a day are possible (the wiki counts 17 a day with everything open):

3 from the bosses of heroic Trial of the Champion
one more daily and two random ones that open with A Silver Confidant
two random ones with Exalted Argent Champion

Champion's Seals have been Warband-transferable since patch 11.0.0 (wiki), so seals earned on other characters can be sent to the buyer; whether the Silver Covenant standing is shared across the Warband was not established.

The Horde's counterpart is the Sunreaver Dragonhawk; a 2012 Wowhead comment says an account that owns the hippogryph has the dragonhawk on its Horde characters, which was not checked.
