How to get it

Sold by Vasarin Redmorn, the Sunreavers quartermaster in the Sunreaver Pavilion at the Argent Tournament, for 150 Champion's Seals, to characters who are Exalted with The Sunreavers and hold the tournament rank of Champion (the two together are the achievement The Sunreavers).

Guides Wowhead: Championing the Argent Tournament · wow.gg: Sunreaver Dragonhawk

Before you go

  • Champion of the character's own city: 3 days of Aspirant dailies (15 Aspirant's Seals at 5 a day), then 5 days of Valiant dailies (25 Valiant's Seals at 5 a day), The Valiant's Challenge and A Champion Rises · about 3 h over 8 days
  • Exalted with The Sunreavers: 42,000 reputation from Neutral, at 250 for every Aspirant, Valiant and Champion daily. About 7,250 comes on the way to Champion. After that the four Champion dailies give 1,000 a day, and the four Valiant dailies of a further city, which a Champion can take up alongside them, another 1,000 · about 9 h over 4 weeks
  • 150 Champion's Seals: 10 from A Champion Rises, then 5 a day from the four Champion dailies, or 9 when the Champion's Purse is taken as each quest's reward. They come from the same dailies as the reputation and are on hand by the time Exalted is reached

In all: about 12 h of play, spread over 4 weeks, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources

The journal's "Cost: 150" is 150 Champion's Seals: Wowhead's sold-by list (as read in 2026) shows Vasarin Redmorn at 150 of currency 241, and the wiki agrees. Coordinates: Wowhead's tooltip for Vasarin Redmorn (NPC 34772), 76.2, 24.0. Wowhead lists a second Vasarin Redmorn (NPC 167081) with the same price; which of the two a character sees was not looked into. He also sells the Sunreaver Hawkstrider for 100 seals.

Wowhead's tooltip and the wiki's page for the mount name only the Exalted standing; the wiki's pages for Vasarin and for the faction say his goods open with the achievement The Sunreavers, whose criteria are Exalted with The Sunreavers and the tournament rank of Champion. Both are needed either way, since the seals come only with the Champion rank.

About 33 days of dailies in all, reckoned as for the Silver Covenant Hippogryph; wow.gg (updated 2026) says roughly 3 to 4 weeks for the reputation. The reputation is the slow part and the weakest figure here.

wow.gg also says the buyer must be Champion of, and Exalted with, every Horde city (the Crusader title); no other source asks for that and it is not taken as needed. It says too that Champion's Writs can be pointed at the Sunreavers for 250 reputation each; on the wiki the writs buy commendation badges from the city quartermasters and Vasarin's goods include none, so that was not relied on.

More seals a day are possible (heroic Trial of the Champion, and the further dailies that open with The Sunreavers and with Exalted Argent Champion; wow.gg counts up to 17 a day). Champion's Seals have been Warband-transferable since patch 11.0.0 (wiki), so seals earned on other characters can be sent to the buyer; whether the Sunreavers standing is shared across the Warband was not established.

The Alliance's counterpart is the Silver Covenant Hippogryph. A 2012 Wowhead comment says an account that bought the hippogryph found the dragonhawk on its Horde characters and supposes the reverse holds, and wow.gg says the mount shows on all the account's characters; whether a hippogryph bought on an Alliance character fills this journal entry was not checked in the game.

The newest Wowhead comment on the item is from 2015, so nothing was found on whether Midnight changed anything.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
