Time there about 2 min a visit
Before you go
- Champion of the character's own city: 3 days of Aspirant dailies (15 Aspirant's Seals at 5 a day), then 5 days of Valiant dailies (25 Valiant's Seals at 5 a day), The Valiant's Challenge and A Champion Rises · about 3 h over 8 days
- Exalted with The Silver Covenant: 42,000 reputation from Neutral, at 250 for every Aspirant, Valiant and Champion daily. About 7,250 comes on the way to Champion (three dailies a day as Aspirant, four as Valiant). After that the four Champion dailies give 1,000 a day, and the four Valiant dailies of a further city, which a Champion can take up alongside them, another 1,000 · about 9 h over 4 weeks
- 100 Champion's Seals: 10 from A Champion Rises, then 5 a day from the four Champion dailies, or 9 when the Champion's Purse is taken as each quest's reward. They come from the same dailies as the reputation and are on hand by the time Exalted is reached
In all: about 12 h of play, spread over 4 weeks, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources
The journal's "Cost: 100" is 100 Champion's Seals. Hiren Loresong sells the steed at the Argent Tournament Grounds, at 76.2, 19.6 by the wiki (Wowhead's tooltip has 76.2, 19.4 and 76.2, 19.6). He also sells the Silver Covenant Hippogryph for 150 seals.
The wiki's page for the mount (edited 2025) asks for 100 Champion's Seals and Exalted with the Silver Covenant; Wowhead's tooltip names only the Exalted standing. By the wiki, as read for the Silver Covenant Hippogryph, his tournament goods open with the achievement A Silver Confidant, whose criteria are Exalted with the Silver Covenant and the quest A Champion Rises. Either way both are needed, since the seals come only with the Champion rank.
What is said here about the tournament ranks, the reputation and the seals is carried over from the notes for the Silver Covenant Hippogryph and its Horde counterparts (the Sunreaver Dragonhawk and the Sunreaver Hawkstrider) and was not checked again. By that reckoning it is about 33 days of dailies in all; the reputation is the slow part and the weakest figure.
More seals a day are possible: 3 from the bosses of heroic Trial of the Champion, and further dailies that open with A Silver Confidant and with Exalted Argent Champion. The wiki counts 17 a day with everything open.
Champion's Seals have been Warband-transferable since patch 11.0.0 (the wiki, as read for the Silver Covenant Hippogryph), so seals earned on other characters can be sent to the buyer. Whether the Silver Covenant standing is shared across the Warband was not established.
The Horde counterpart is the Sunreaver Hawkstrider (wiki). A 2013 Wowhead comment, quoted in the notes for the hawkstrider, says buying it also gives the account's Alliance characters this steed; that was not checked.
The item binds when picked up and has asked for level 17 and Apprentice Riding since patch 9.0.1 (wiki). The guide linked is Wowhead's for the whole tournament (updated 2022).
