Notes and sources
The journal's "Cost: 100" is 100 Champion's Seals: Wowhead's sold-by list (as read in 2026) shows Vasarin Redmorn at 100 of currency 241, the Champion's Seal, and Wowhead's guide and the wiki agree. He also sells the Sunreaver Dragonhawk for 150 seals.
He stands at 76.2, 24.0 by Wowhead's tooltip for him (NPC 34772, as read for the Sunreaver Dragonhawk); wow.gg gives only a waypoint for the tournament grounds (69.4, 22.8). Wowhead lists a second Vasarin Redmorn (NPC 167081) at the same price; which of the two a character sees was not looked into.
The item's tooltip names only the Exalted standing, and Wowhead's guide (updated 2022) lists the mount as 'requires Exalted with Sunreavers to purchase'. The wiki's page for the faction says his goods open with the achievement The Sunreavers, which the guide describes as the right to champion any city together with Exalted with the Sunreavers. Both are needed either way, since the seals come only with the Champion rank.
About 33 days of dailies in all, by the reckoning in the notes for the Silver Covenant Hippogryph. The reputation is the slow part and the weakest figure here. Whether the Sunreavers standing is shared across the Warband was not established.
More seals a day are possible: 3 from the bosses of heroic Trial of the Champion, and further dailies that open with The Sunreavers and with Exalted Argent Champion. The wiki counts 17 a day with everything open.
wow.gg and the other sources part in three places:
- wow.gg calls Champion's Seals character-bound; the wiki says they have been Warband-transferable since patch 11.0.0, so seals earned on other characters can be sent to the buyer.
- wow.gg names the Silver Covenant Hippogryph as the Alliance counterpart; a 2013 Wowhead comment says buying the hawkstrider also gives the account's Alliance characters the Quel'dorei Steed, which is the 100-seal mount on the Alliance side.
- wow.gg mentions a token from the quartermaster at Revered that doubles the reputation, which no other source has and which is not counted on.
The newest Wowhead comment on the item is from 2016 (with a reply of 2018), so nothing was found there on whether Midnight changed anything. The item binds when picked up and asks for Apprentice Riding.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
