Look it up on WowheadHow to get it
Sold by Zachariah Post, the Undead Horse Merchant in Brill, Tirisfal Glades, for 10 gold. Forsaken buy it outright; every other Horde race has to be Exalted with Undercity first. The Brill he is known to trade in is the one of the past: speak with Zidormi in Tirisfal Glades to see the zone as it was before the Battle for Lordaeron.
Time there about 2 min a visit
Before you go
- Tirisfal Glades switched to the past: speak with Zidormi (69.4, 62.8) and ask to see the zone before the Battle for Lordaeron. A character that still sees the old zone skips this · about 0.1 h
- Exalted with Undercity, unless the buyer is Forsaken: the Undercity Tabard from the quartermaster, Captain Donald Adams, worn in dungeons turns their reputation into Undercity's; quests in Tirisfal Glades, Silverpine Forest, Hillsbrad Foothills and Western Plaguelands, the cooking and fishing dailies in Undercity and the Argent Tournament count too · about 3 h
- 10 gold
In all: about 3.1 h of play, 10 gold, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Tirisfal Glades 61.8 51.8 - Take the portal from Orgrimmar to Undercity*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
Zachariah Post stands in more than one version of the world. Wowhead's sold-by list (as read in 2026) names three of him:
- the old Tirisfal Glades (creature 4731; tooltip 61.8, 51.8), at 10 gold
- Orgrimmar (creature 141691; tooltip 55.4-55.8, 89.4-90.0), at 8 gold: the top of the Gates of Orgrimmar, where the wiki puts him after the Battle for Lordaeron
- the reclaimed Tirisfal Glades of patch 9.2.5 (creature 186016; tooltip 66.0, 67.4-67.6), at 8 gold: the north-east corner of the Ruins of Lordaeron
Eight gold is the 10 less the 20% that the notes for the Black Skeletal Horse say an Exalted buyer gets. So Wowhead has this mount in the vendor windows of the Orgrimmar and Ruins of Lordaeron copies, which the notes for the Purple Skeletal Warhorse and the Black Skeletal Horse could not establish.
A list entry shows only that somebody saw the item in his window at some time, not when, and no dated report of buying from those two was found. So the place given above stays the old Brill, as for those two mounts, which have reports of buying there from 2023 and 2026. A character that cannot or would rather not use Zidormi could try the other two first.
The journal leaves out the reputation and the timeline. By the wiki only undead can buy from him by default and others must be Exalted with Undercity; his gossip says so. The wiki places Captain Donald Adams in the Trade Quarter of the old Undercity (63.6, 48.8).
He also sells the Green and Purple Skeletal Warhorses at 10 gold and four Skeletal Horses at 1 gold. The wiki has this mount at level 17 with Apprentice Riding since patch 9.0. The item page's 36 comments end in 2015 and say nothing of where he stands now.
Guide: Wowhead's is a player's list (updated 2024) of every racial mount with its vendor and the rule that they are bought by being Exalted with the faction or by being of its race. It names this mount under Zachariah Post but does not say where he is today or how the reputation is earned.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
