Rare find in the Heart-Shaped Box, the once-a-day reward for defeating Apothecary Hummel and his two fellow apothecaries of the Crown Chemical Co. in Shadowfang Keep while Love is in the Air is on. They are fought through the Group Finder's holiday queue, which forms the party and sets it down in the keep.
Chance 0.09% once a day, so about 1111 tries on average — Wowhead: 1,021 mounts in 1,195,371 opened Heart-Shaped Boxes (item 54537, read 2026-10-11), which is 0.085%. The count pools every year since 2010 and first boxes of the day with later ones. Since patch 10.0.5 (January 2023) the first box of the day on the account has had a 'greatly increased' chance and every later box that day the old one (Blizzard's wording, quoted on the wiki; no figures published), so the first box of a day should do better than this and a later one worse; Warcraft Secrets puts the old chance at 'around 0.03%', an estimate

Notes and sources
Love is in the Air 2026 ran from 9 to 23 February (wiki), and Wowhead's holiday guide (updated 2026) gives 8 to 22 February for 2027, so the next chance is then.
No place is given: the queue is joined from anywhere and carries the party into Shadowfang Keep, as with the other holiday bosses in this guide. For reference, the game's table has the dungeon's entrance at Silverpine Forest 44.6, 67.7. Whether the apothecaries can be reached by walking in was not established. The party is made up by the queue; whether it can be entered with fewer than five was not looked into. The time on the spot is an estimate for the queue and the fight.
One box a day for each character (wiki; Wowhead's guide), but only the account's first of the day has the raised chance. Blizzard's 2025 post says legacy drops like this one 'have a much higher chance to drop on your first attempt of the day (WoW account-wide)', with 'a very small chance' on later attempts the same day. Its heading says 'per Warband' and the 2023 post said 'across your Battle.net account'; the sources do not settle which.
The level is told differently:
- the wiki and Wowhead's guide say level 10 can queue (the guide says 20 further down)
- the wiki's page for the box says it has dropped for all players since patch 11.0.7
- Wowhead's guide still says a character must be 60 or higher to be eligible for the mount; a well-rated 2026 Wowhead comment calls that no longer true, with several players at the time reporting the mount from boxes on level 10 and 11 characters
The same box can hold the Love Witch's Sweeper (1,762 of the same 1,195,371) and the Spring Butterfly (38; added in 2026), which Blizzard says drop only from the first attempt of the day, with a chance that grows each day. Learning the mount awards a Feat of Strength of the same name (wiki).
It was renamed from Big Love Rocket in patch 9.1.5. The item asks for level 10 and binds when picked up (wiki, Wowhead's tooltip). Wowhead's holiday guide is not linked as a guide because this is one queued boss; it is among the sources.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
