How to get it

Reward of Mograine's Reunion, the follow-up to the Shadowmourne legendary quest line in 25-player Icecrown Citadel. A warrior, paladin or death knight forges Shadowmourne for Highlord Darion Mograine at Light's Hammer, kills the Lich King with it, takes the Sealed Chest he then drops back to Mograine, and hands in Alexandros' Soul Shard from the opened chest.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

Only the three plate classes can do the quest line, but the learned mount is account-wide. It takes about eight weekly lockouts in all (an estimate); the 50 shards are the long part, and Heroic shortens it. The time on the spot is one full 25-player clear (an estimate).

Forum reports from 2026 say Blood Infusion sometimes fails to give credit: one bug report was answered as fixed, and a later one was left unanswered.

The figure of 1,000 kills over two or three weeks once given here for A Feast of Souls dates from before patch 4.0.3a.
