Look it up on WowheadHow to get it
The draenei paladin's own second mount, the faster version of the Exarch's Elekk. A draenei or Lightforged draenei paladin is given it on reaching the right level, which sources put at 17 or at 10. No item, vendor or quest is involved.
Before you go
- A draenei paladin (a Lightforged draenei paladin also counts) levelled to 17, the level warcraftmounts.com gives for the second paladin mount · about 2.5 h
In all: about 2.5 h of play, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources
There is nowhere to travel for this mount, so no place is given. The journal files it under quests and gives no text; there is no item, and no quest was found.
Who may have it: the game's own tables give the mount the condition Requires Paladin, Draenei, with a race mask covering Draenei and Lightforged Draenei, and Wowhead's spell page (73630) lists the same two races. warcraftmounts.com lists it under Draenei only and gives Lightforged draenei paladins the Lightforged Ruinstrider at level 10. A Lightforged draenei paladin starts at level 10, but the allied race has to be unlocked first, so a plain draenei is the shorter way.
The level is not settled:
- warcraftmounts.com has paladins earn a first mount at level 10 and this one at 17
- the wiki's page for Summon Charger says that mount is learned automatically at level 10 since patch 9.0.1 (40 before)
- the wiki's own page for this mount still says level 40, Journeyman Riding and the apprentice mount first, with no patch entry after 2010, and a 2018 Wowhead comment has Lightforged draenei learn it at 40; both are from before the level squish
That it is given automatically is known only for the Charger and taken here to hold for the elekk; older texts name paladin trainers as the source, and no current source found does. The same Charger page says any Alliance paladin of the Warband can use the Charger once one character has learned it; whether that holds for the elekk was not established, and the game's condition still names the two draenei races.
The game's tables mark the first mount, the Exarch's Elekk, as Legacy; what that means for a new character was not looked into. Wowhead says 22% of profiles have this one.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
