Warhorse

The human paladin's own first mount, the slower of the Alliance paladin's two horses. A human paladin learns it automatically at level 10. No item, vendor or quest is involved any more.

• A human paladin levelled to 10 · about 1 h

In all: about 1 h of play, starting from nothing.

There is nowhere to travel for this one.

No place is given because there is nowhere to travel for the mount: a human paladin of level 10 already has it. The second horse, the Charger, comes at level 17 by warcraftmounts.com (10 by the wiki's general rule).

The journal files it under quests and says only 'Paladin'; there is no item, and the quest that once gave it (The Tome of Nobility, from Duthorian Rall in Stormwind) belongs to the old game (wiki).

Who may have it: the game's own table gives the mount the condition 'Requires Paladin' with no race mask, and Wowhead's tooltip for the spell (13819) says Requires Paladin, Faction: Alliance; the wiki says any Alliance paladin can use it freely. So no race is set here.

Who is taught it is narrower, and the sources differ:

• the wiki's class mount table gives the Warhorse to humans and the Dawnforge Ram to dwarves
• the wiki's page for the spell says it is 'only trained by human and dwarf paladins'
• Wowhead's page for the spell (as read in 2026) lists the races Human, Dwarf and Dark Iron Dwarf beside two internal Dracthyr visage entries

A human paladin is the sure way. The wiki's page for the spell still carries old text about a paladin trainer next to its patch 9.0.1 entry (learnable at level 10, down from 20; no longer teaches Apprentice Riding by itself); whether Apprentice Riding has to be bought first was not established.

Nothing recent from players was read: the newest comment on Wowhead's page is from 2011. Wowhead says 55% of profiles have it.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
