Felfire Hawk

Reward of the achievement Mountacular: obtain 250 mounts usable by a single character. The count is account-wide; the achievement gives the item Felfire Hawk, which teaches the mount.

• 250 mounts in the collection that one character can use (mounts of the other faction or of other classes do not count for that character)

There is nowhere to travel for this one.

There is nowhere to go for this mount, so no place is given: it comes with the 250th countable mount. It is the seventh in the mount-count series, after Mount Parade (200).

The achievement exists once for each faction (Wowhead achievements 9598, marked Alliance only, and 9599), both with the same text, 'Obtain 250 mounts (usable by a single character)', account-wide progress and the same reward. That mounts of the other faction or of another class are left out is how 'usable by a single character' is read here and for the next two steps, Lord of the Reins (300 mounts, the Heavenly Azure Cloud Serpent) and No Stable Big Enough (350, the Frostshard Infernal); the tooltip does not spell it out.

Added in patch 6.0.2; during the Warlords of Draenor beta the reward was an Emerald Drake, changed to the Felfire Hawk after player feedback (wiki). The item binds when picked up (Wowhead's tooltip). How the item is delivered (in the mail or straight into the bags) was not found.

Confidence in this entry: high. Looked up in 2026.
