Notes and sources
The journal's cost of 180 is Darkmoon Prize Tickets. The wiki's page for the mount (edited 2025, as read in 2026): Lhara on Darkmoon Island, 180 tickets, no other source, level 10, binds when picked up, unique. Lhara stands at 48.2-48.6, 69.4-69.8 by Wowhead's tooltip.
The rest is taken from this guide's notes for the Darkmoon Dancing Bear, which Lhara sells at the same price, and was not checked again: her spot, the Faire's season, the ticket breakdown and the guide linked, a player's guide on Wowhead last updated in 2023 whose ticket breakdown was found still close to the wiki's.
The tickets keep between Faires and have been transferable within the Warband since patch 11.0, so several characters can earn towards one purchase; buying both of Lhara's 180-ticket mounts takes 360.
The island is reached through the portals at the Faire's staging grounds, south of Goldshire in Elwynn Forest for the Alliance and outside Thunder Bluff in Mulgore for the Horde, or for a small fee from a Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mage in a capital city. It is a no-fly zone.
Earning tickets:
- each daily game is paid for with Darkmoon Game Tokens, sold at the Faire
- a profession quest asks for skill 1 in that profession, and some want materials brought along
- artifacts and trophies only drop with the free Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide in the bags, and can be handed in only while the Faire is open
The counts differ: the wiki has nine daily games (63 tickets over the week) and 17 from profession quests, Wowhead's guide six games and two races (56) and 20 from profession quests.
The mount came in patch 4.3 and its model was updated in 8.1 (wiki).
Confidence in this entry: high. Looked up in 2026.
