Notes and sources
The cost of 180 in the journal is Darkmoon Prize Tickets. They keep between Faires and have been transferable within the Warband since patch 11.0 (wiki), so several characters can earn towards one purchase.
The Faire opens on the first Sunday of the month for a week (Wowhead's guide); the season is given the same way as for the other Darkmoon mounts. The island is a no-fly zone, reached through the portals at the Faire's staging grounds or, for a small fee, from a Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mage in a capital city. The portals are south of Goldshire in Elwynn Forest for the Alliance and outside Thunder Bluff in Mulgore for the Horde. Lhara stands at 48.2-48.6, 69.4-69.8 (Wowhead's tooltip).
The tickets:
- each daily game is paid for with Darkmoon Game Tokens, sold at the Faire
- a profession quest asks for skill 1 in that profession, and some want materials brought along (Wowhead's guide lists them)
- artifacts and trophies only drop with the free Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide in the bags, and can be handed in only while the Faire is open
- the pet battles pay 5 tickets a day at Master level and 10 at Grand Master (wiki)
The two sources differ a little on the count: the wiki has nine daily games (63 tickets over the week) and 17 from profession quests, Wowhead's guide six games and two races (56) and 20 from profession quests.
Wowhead's guide is a player's, last updated in 2023; its ticket breakdown still matches the wiki's closely. It says Den Mother's Demise needs level 90 to hand in, written when the level cap was 70; that was not checked for the current game.
Lhara also sells the Swift Forest Strider at the same price and the Darkmoon Dirigible for 1,000 tickets. The mount asks for level 10 (wiki, since patch 9.0.1).
Confidence in this entry: high. Looked up in 2026.
