Notes and sources
A crafted mount with three errands: the design from San Redscale (the place given), the orb from Big Keech, and the materials. San Redscale's coordinates are Wowhead's tooltip position.
The design needs Revered, one rank more than the Sunstone and Jade Panthers; the wiki's page for Design: Sapphire Panther says Revered, and Wowhead's reputation guide lists:
- the Jade and Sunstone designs at Honored
- the Ruby and Sapphire at Revered
- the Jeweled Onyx Panther at Exalted
That guide dates from 2018 and still asks for level 90, from before level scaling. It also names the Quivering Firestorm Egg from Huolon on the Timeless Isle, a repeatable hand-in worth 1,000 reputation that is bound to the account. Whether the reputation is shared across the Warband was not established, nor whether the dailies still pay what the guide says.
The wiki puts Big Keech at the Golden Pagoda; the Sunstone Panther's notes explain that he is only in the old version of the Vale and how players of 2025-2026 found him, which was not read again here. Those notes also say the orb is not soulbound and that the Living Steel and the gems can be made on other characters and passed to the jeweler.
Wowhead's tooltip for the finished mount shows no binding line, so the item itself can be handed or sold on; the route here is making it. The wiki lists the Sapphire Panther as a reagent of the Jeweled Onyx Panther, so a collector who wants both makes two.
The design asked for Jewelcrafting 600 until patch 8.0.1 split the profession by expansion (wiki). Wowhead's professions guide is a player's guide, last updated in 2022; it lists the same four reagents.
