• Exalted with The Klaxxi, 42,000 reputation from Neutral. The Dread Wastes storyline, which starts with Psycho Mantid, brings Honored and opens the daily quests at Klaxxi'vess: seven a day at 130 each, two more from Revered. Five Dread Amber Shards, a rare drop from any creature of the zone, hand in to Ambersmith Zikk for 250 as often as wanted. The Grand Commendation of the Klaxxi, 50 gold from him at Revered, doubles everything after it for the whole account · about 11 h over 3 weeks
• 10,000 gold

In all: about 11 h of play, spread over 3 weeks, 10,000 gold, starting from nothing.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Ambersmith Zikk stands at 55.0, 35.4-35.6 by Wowhead's tooltip; wow.gg gives 55, 35, in the middle of the camp. The vendor, the list price and the standing agree across the journal, Wowhead's tooltip, the wiki, Wowhead's guide and wow.gg. The item needs level 27 and Apprentice Riding (wiki).

Two things about the price were not settled, and a look at his window in the game would settle both. Wowhead comments of 2012 and 2013 on the item say it cost 8,000 at Exalted, the faction's own discount, and 7,000 with a guild perk that no longer exists; since only an Exalted character can buy, 8,000 may be what is really paid, but nothing newer confirms it.

And Wowhead's sold-by list for the retail item (2026) shows Ambersmith Zikk at 10 gold against 10,000 in its own tooltip, the same kind of mismatch found for the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth; the guide keeps 10,000.

How long the reputation takes is the soft part: a 2021 comment on Wowhead's guide says about ten days of the opening quests and dailies still left its writer far from Exalted. Wowhead's guide (last updated 2018) names four areas the dailies send the player to and says some have hidden quests that start from a drop. A 2015 comment on it says the first quest had to be taken from Bowmistress Li (Falling Down) before Marksman Lann's would show.

Stolen Klaxxi Insignias give 1,000 each (Wowhead's tooltip and the wiki), not the 6,000 the Shado-Pan's have given since patch 10.2.7; a 2013 comment on Wowhead's guide says 2,000 with the Grand Commendation. They bind to the Warband and drop from the Zandalari Warscouts and Warbringers at five spots on Pandaria's coasts (wiki):

• Jade Forest 52.6, 18.8
• Krasarang Wilds 38.8, 63.3
• Kun-Lai Summit 75, 67
• Townlong Steppes 36.5, 85.8
• Dread Wastes 47.3, 62.1

The Zandalari drop insignias for four factions, so only some are the right one. The 2021 comment calls those spots heavily farmed and names War-God Dokah on the Isle of Giants as another source, back 30 to 60 minutes after each kill; that was not checked. Whether Klaxxi reputation can also be had during Mists of Pandaria Timewalking was not looked into.

Wowhead's page for the item opens in a browser as its Mists of Pandaria Classic version; the figures here are from the retail page.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
