Reward of Riding the Skies, the quest that ends the Order of the Cloud Serpent's story of raising a hatchling. Elder Anli at the Arboretum in the Jade Forest gives it at Exalted, and the Azure serpent is the reward for a character that took the Blue Serpent Egg in the earlier quest Choosing the One. Any character at Exalted can also buy the same reins from San Redscale, the quartermaster a few steps away, for 2,400 gold, whichever egg it raised.

Notes and sources
Riding the Skies exists three times, one for each egg (wiki; Wowhead lists 31810 as this item's quest):
- 31810 gives the Azure serpent (Blue Serpent Egg)
- 30188 the Jade (Green)
- 31811 the Golden (Yellow)
The egg can still be changed before Choosing the One is handed in (a 2012 Wowhead comment). A character gets only the one serpent from the quest; San Redscale sells all three at Exalted. His price is 2,400 gold in Wowhead's sold-by list and on the wiki's page for the reins, and 3,000 on the wiki's page for him, which is the same price before the discount that Exalted gives.
The quest is tied to the hatchling's story and not only to the standing: players who reached Exalted mostly through eggs and tokens report that no final quest appeared (Wowhead comments of 2019 and 2020), which is why the Revered quests are listed under Before you go. A hotfix of May 2024 mended the quest handing out the wrong colour (wiki).
The reins bind when picked up and ask for Exalted with the order to learn (Wowhead's tooltip); Cloud Serpent Riding, once needed for the quest and the mount, went in patch 6.0.2 (wiki). Elder Anli's place is Wowhead's tooltip position (the wiki has 57.7, 44.9); San Redscale stands at 56.6-56.8, 44.4.
Faster ways to the reputation that the guide and its comments name, none of them counted here: the Quivering Firestorm Egg from Huolon and the Crimsonscale Firestorms on the Timeless Isle, a repeatable hand-in worth 1,000 that is bound to the account, and reputation tokens bought with Timewarped Badges. A 2024 comment reports going from nothing to Exalted in 27 minutes under the anniversary's reputation bonuses, which have ended.
The Grand Commendation doubles the reputation for the whole account (the wiki's page on it, read from a saved copy); its price, and the Revered it asks for, are from the wiki's page for San Redscale. Whether the reputation itself is shared across the Warband was not established.
Wowhead's guide dates from 2018 and does not name Riding the Skies. It says the daily set is 1,500 at Honored and that the trainers' challenges and the Sky Race join it at Revered.
