How to get it

Sold by the guild vendors in the capital cities for 3,000 gold, to a character that is Exalted with a guild which has earned the guild achievement Guild Glory of the Pandaria Raider. The achievement belongs to the guild, not the character: being a member of a guild that already has it is enough.

Guide wow.gg: Thundering Jade Cloud Serpent

Before you go

Membership of a guild that has Guild Glory of the Pandaria Raider. A guild without it has to earn it: Will of the Emperor in Mogu'shan Vaults, Grand Empress Shek'zeer in the Heart of Fear and the Sha of Fear in the Terrace of Endless Spring, each killed on Heroic in a guild group, which in these 10-player raids means at least 8 guild members inside · about 0.5 h
Exalted with that guild, 42,000 reputation from Neutral: every quest handed in pays some, as do dungeon and raid bosses and rated PvP wins in a guild group; the guild tabards raise what is earned · about 12 h
3,000 gold

In all: about 12.5 h of play, 3,000 gold, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources

The journal leaves out both conditions, the guild's achievement and the Exalted standing (the wiki's page for the reins; wow.gg, updated 2026). Guild Glory of the Pandaria Raider is three guild runs on Heroic (wiki):

Will of the Emperor
Grand Empress Shek'zeer
the Sha of Fear

The guide asks for no group, because the route through a guild that already has the achievement takes none; this follows the Blacksteel Battleboar, and it is the one point here still open. A 2016 Wowhead comment says any guild can earn it now; one of 2024 found the reins appear on the vendor only once the character is Exalted.

A guild earning it is another matter. The wiki's guild group table and wow.gg give 8 guild members of a 10-player raid and 20 of a 25-player one. Comments on Wowhead's page for the achievement say the same (2015), that a party of three guild members does not count in a raid (2016), and that the eight only have to be inside the instance (2018). wow.gg: Heroic has to be set before entering, Normal and Raid Finder do not count, and the three raids take 15-20 minutes in all at level 80.

Their entrances, from the game's own table, all in Pandaria:

Mogu'shan Vaults in Kun-Lai Summit (59.5, 39.3)
Heart of Fear in the Dread Wastes (38.7, 35.1)
Terrace of Endless Spring in The Veiled Stair (48.1, 61.0)

Buying failed for some from October 2024 ('The item was not found', guild vendors in general), and that comment's last update, of 2025, says it still did. The Blacksteel Battleboar's notes read the same fault as fixed by November 2024, and wow.gg's guide of 2026 describes an ordinary purchase, so it is taken to work, without a dated confirmation.

Wowhead's vendor data has 3,000 gold at Goram, Shay Pressler, Randah Songhorn (Thunder Bluff) and Mirla Silverblaze (Dalaran); wow.gg lists eleven guild vendors. The wiki's page for Shay Pressler still shows 1,500 gold and Guild Level 25, which is out of date. Shay Pressler's coordinates are the wiki's; Goram's are those used for the Kor'kron Annihilator and were not read again.

The Order of the Cloud Serpent is not needed to buy, learn or ride it (comments of 2015 and 2016; the wiki's note for patch 6.0.2); the item asks for level 32 and Apprentice Riding (wiki). Wowhead says 52% of profiles have the mount.

Guild reputation belongs to one character in one guild and is not checked here against a character, because the faction carries the guild's own name; the hours given to Exalted are the rough figure used for the Kor'kron Annihilator and the Blacksteel Battleboar. Wowhead's item page opens in a browser as its Mists of Pandaria Classic version; the retail page and the achievement's page were used instead.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
