Sold by Nat Pagle at the Fishing Shack of one's own Draenor garrison for 100 Nat's Lucky Coins, to a character that is Best Friend with him. Nat only moves in once the shack is level 3, which takes the achievement Draenor Angler; the coins and the friendship both come from Lunkers, rare fish caught in Draenor's waters and handed to him one at a time (1 coin and 350 friendship each).

- A level 3 garrison of one's own: the Draenor introduction founds it, and the last upgrade asks for 2,000 Garrison Resources and 5,000 gold · about 4 h over 2 days

It is the same friendship as at Anglers Wharf in Pandaria, where three rare fish (Flying Tiger Gourami, Mimic Octopus, Spinefish Alpha) can be handed to him once a day each · about 1.5 h

Notes and sources
The standing asked is Best Friend, the top of Nat Pagle's six friendship ranks, and the cost of 100 is Nat's Lucky Coins, an item kept in the bags; the journal and Wowhead's tooltip say 'Nat Pagle - Honored' and a bare 'Cost: 100'. Nat stands by the shack: Wowhead has him at 52.2-53.8, 13.4-15.2 in Lunarfall and 36.8-38.8, 70.4-73.0 in Frostwall.
A 2026 Wowhead comment says it is 'still very much obtainable' and describes the whole route:
- a level 3 shack
- Draenor Angler
- then only the Felmouth Frenzy pools in the fel river around Hellfire Citadel in Tanaan, about 10 Lunkers to two laps
- a good rod, Nat's Drinking Hat and Worm Supreme bait
The time is the soft part and the reason for medium confidence:
- from nothing, a player of 2018 counted 17 hours 43 minutes of fishing for everything (no fishing skill, no Draenor flying)
- another of 2018, about 15 hours with the friendship already earned in Pandaria
- wow.gg's 50 hours for the Lunkers alone rests on a 1.3% chance at 700 skill, which it says falls to a third or a quarter of that time with skill stacked
- a 2021 comment speaks of under 2% and of the difference lures make, the first comments of 2014 of about 1%
Other points where sources differ:
- a 2021 comment gives 8,200 friendship a rank and 385 a Lunker (about 110 Lunkers)
- recruiting Nat takes maximum Draenor Fishing by the wiki; the same 2021 comment says 80 has been enough since patch 9.1, and Wowhead's guide still gives the old figure of 700
- the wiki gives +600 for each of the three Pandaria fish, older sources 350
Draenor Angler counts for the whole account, but a second character still needs its own Draenor Fishing skill before Luring Nat is offered (comments of 2020 and 2021), and the garrison and shack are that character's own. The garrison figures are borrowed from the guide's other garrison mounts and were not checked again.
Lunkers can be caught and kept before Nat arrives, though far more rarely: one in 2,022 catches for the player of 2018, and a 2026 comment handed in a saved stash straight after A True Draenor Angler. There is no longer a limit on how many can be carried, and all can be handed in on one day (a 2018 comment). The coins also drop, rarely, from the Lunarfall and Frostdeep Cavedwellers called up in the garrison pond (wiki).
The mount has not walked on water since patch 8.2, when that became mount equipment, and the reins ask for level 35 (wiki).
