Reward of the Mists of Pandaria Challenge Modes, which left the game with patch 6.0.2 (14 October 2014). Kai Featherfall in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms sold it for one Ancestral Phoenix Egg, the reward of the achievement Challenge Conqueror: Silver; that is the journal's 'Vendor: Kai Featherfall, Cost: 1'. It is one of the four Challenge Mode phoenixes (Ashen, Crimson, Emerald, Violet): the wiki's page for it is shared with the Emerald one and its note for patch 6.0.2 reads 'Now account-wide. Can no longer be purchased'; whoever held a full set of silver medals then was given all four. It is not the reward of Glory of the Pandaria Hero, which gives the Crimson Cloud Serpent. It is on sale again only in Mists of Pandaria Classic (50 Platinum Coins), which is a different game. A web search on 2026-10-11 found no later return in the retail game: the phoenix of Remix: Mists of Pandaria was another mount, the August Phoenix.
