Notes and sources
Rushi the Fox in the Townlong Steppes sells this tiger for 1,500 gold at Exalted with the Shado-Pan ('Requires Shado-Pan - Exalted'), with no quest or achievement on top. The journal, Wowhead's tooltip for the item (89305) and the wiki's page for the reins (edited 2025, read 2026) agree on vendor, price and standing. How long the reputation takes is the weak part.
Rushi stands at 48.8, 70.4 to 70.6 in the Townlong Steppes by Wowhead's tooltip for him (NPC 64595), as read for the Red Shado-Pan Riding Tiger and not read again. He sells three tigers on the same terms: the Blue for 500 gold, this one for 1,500 and the Red for 2,500.
Everything about the reputation is taken over from the notes for the Blue and the Red Shado-Pan Riding Tiger and was not looked into again. Stolen Shado-Pan Insignias bind to the Warband (wiki), so any character can gather them; the Zandalari drop insignias for four factions, so only some are the right one. Spawn points:
- Jade Forest 52.6, 18.8
- Krasarang Wilds 38.8, 63.3
- Kun-Lai Summit 75, 67
- Townlong Steppes 36.5, 85.8
- Dread Wastes 47.3, 62.1
Not confirmed: how many insignias a Warscout or a Warbringer drops, and whether the Grand Commendation of the Shado-Pan also doubles insignias.
Sources disagree on what opens the dailies: wow.gg says Honored with the Golden Lotus and the garrison's starter quests, while the wiki's patch notes say the Golden Lotus requirement went in patch 5.3. The Shado-Pan Assault of the Isle of Thunder is a different faction and does not count.
The wiki's item tooltip reads 'Requires Level 35' (since patch 9.0.1; Apprentice Riding since 9.0.2), and the item binds when picked up. Wowhead's page for the item was not read: pages of this era open its Mists of Pandaria Classic database, and the tooltip and the wiki leave nothing open. The linked guide is written for the red tiger and was not read again for this one.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
