Reward of the Mists of Pandaria Challenge Modes, which left the game with patch 6.0.2 (14 October 2014). Kai Featherfall in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms sold it for one Ancestral Phoenix Egg, the reward of the achievement Challenge Conqueror: Silver; that is the journal's 'Vendor: World Vendors, Cost: 1'. The wiki's page for it (edited 16 December 2025, read today) says it 'was removed in patch 6.0.2 but remains in Mists of Pandaria Classic', and its note for that patch reads 'Now account-wide. Can no longer be purchased'; whoever held a full set of silver medals then was given all four Challenge Mode phoenixes (Ashen, Crimson, Emerald, Violet). It is on sale again only in Mists of Pandaria Classic (50 Platinum Coins), which is a different game. This guide's records for the Crimson (503) and Violet (520) phoenixes reached the same result, and their web search of 10 and 11 October 2026 found no later return in the retail game; that search was not repeated for this one. The phoenix of Remix: Mists of Pandaria was another mount, the August Phoenix.
Looked up in 2026.
