Guide Wowhead: Operation: Shieldwall and Dominance Offensive Guides
Before you go
- Domination Point built: the quests Meet the Scout (it enters the quest log by itself in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms), The Might of the Warchief with Garrosh Hellscream, and Domination Point, which signals the Horde fleet. Before them the base and its quartermaster are not there · about 0.75 h
- Exalted with the Dominance Offensive, 42,000 reputation from Neutral: the daily quests at one of four camps in Krasarang Wilds each day (900 a day, and 200 more from one Beastmaster's Hunt quest), the story quests General Nazgrim hands out as the standing rises, and from Revered the Grand Commendation of the Dominance Offensive (50 gold from Tuskripper Grukna), which doubles what follows. During Mists of Pandaria Timewalking Mistweaver Xia sells Commendations of the Dominance Offensive for 50 Timewarped Badges each · about 9 h over 4 weeks
- 2,000 gold
In all: about 9.8 h of play, spread over 4 weeks, 2,000 gold, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources
The journal has it right: Tuskripper Grukna sells it at Exalted for 2,000 gold (Wowhead's tooltip, the wiki's pages for her and for the faction, and Wowhead's guide, which names her as quartermaster and this mount as the Exalted reward). Comments of 2012 and 2013 on the item give 1,800 gold; the tooltip and the wiki now say 2,000.
Wowhead's tooltip pins her at 9.6, 50.8 and 10.8, 53.4. The second is the one by the fort, close to General Nazgrim's 10.4, 53.8 given for the Grand Wyvern, and is the one used. The wiki gives no coordinates.
The time to Exalted is the weak figure, as for the Grand Wyvern, which is the quest reward at the end of the same reputation. The old pace:
- 900 a day from the dailies
- 200 from one Beastmaster quest (a 2017 comment on Wowhead's guide: only one of the three pays on a day)
- story quests that open at set standings, each a day after its threshold is reached (wiki: Friendly 950 and 4,900, Honored 2,850, 6,800 and 10,750, Revered 2,700, 6,650, 10,650, 14,500 and 18,350, then Exalted)
Against that, a comment on Wowhead's guide from the end of 2024 says Exalted now comes in a day from the story alone, without dailies, and a 2025 reply agrees and calls it a hidden boost; comments from earlier in 2024 still found the story gated at the old thresholds. Nothing newer was found either way, so the old pace is recorded; if the 2024-2025 reports hold, the reputation is a matter of hours.
Shortcuts players name on the item's page: commendations bought with Timewarped Badges during Mists of Pandaria Timewalking (comments of 2018 and 2022; a 2023 reply advises buying only enough to reach Revered, then the Grand Commendation, then the story quests). Wowhead's guide also lists Sunsong Ranch work orders for the faction (300 each) from patch 5.2.
A 2012 comment (the best-rated on the item) says learning this mount also gives the Alliance's Grand Armored Gryphon to the account's Alliance characters, and a 2018 one says the same; a 2014 reply found it not so. If it holds, an account that has earned the Gryphon through Operation: Shieldwall may already have this mount; not confirmed in the game.
Reputation is per character as far as was found for the Grand Wyvern. Wowhead's guide dates from patch 5.1 and was last edited in 2018.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
