Reward of the quest Breath of Darkest Shadow, the end of the Dominance Offensive campaign: a Horde story in twelve parts that open one after another as the reputation with the Dominance Offensive rises, the last of them at Exalted. General Nazgrim at Domination Point in Krasarang Wilds hands the parts out. For the last one Tak-Tak flies the character from there to Emperor's Reach in Kun-Lai Summit, where Garrosh Hellscream rings the Divine Bell and gives the mount when the quest is handed in.

Before you go
- Exalted with the Dominance Offensive, 42,000 reputation from Neutral: the daily quests at one of four camps in Krasarang Wilds each day (about 900 a day, and 200 more from the day's Beastmaster's Hunt quest), the campaign quests themselves, and from Revered the Grand Commendation of the Dominance Offensive (50 gold from Tuskripper Grukna at Domination Point), which doubles what follows. During Mists of Pandaria Timewalking Mistweaver Xia sells Commendations of the Dominance Offensive, 300 reputation for 50 Timewarped Badges · about 9 h over 4 weeks
- The Dominance Offensive campaign, about 45 quests in twelve storylines: Meet the Scout (offered on its own to a Horde character of level 15 or more; Scout Rokla at the landing site in south-western Krasarang Wilds), The Might of the Warchief and Domination Point open the base and its dailies; the rest follow from General Nazgrim as the reputation rises, ending at Exalted with The Bell Speaks and Breath of Darkest Shadow · about 3 h
In all: about 12 h of play, spread over 4 weeks, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Krasarang Wilds 10.4 53.8 - Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Jade Forest*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
The mount comes with the hand-in of Breath of Darkest Shadow (quest 32399): Malkorok gives the quest at Emperor's Reach in Kun-Lai Summit and Garrosh Hellscream takes it in there, which is why the journal says Kun-Lai Summit. The place given above is General Nazgrim at Domination Point all the same: he hands out every part of the campaign, the quest before the last (The Bell Speaks) included, and Tak-Tak at Domination Point flies the character to Emperor's Reach, so that is where a character has to go.
Nazgrim's point is Wowhead's, which has him at 9.2, 51.2 and 10.4, 53.8; the second is the one by the fort. The wiki gives the Alliance version of the scene at 56.4, 34.3 in Kun-Lai Summit; coordinates for the Horde's hand-in were not found.
Reputation gates, from the wiki:
- Friendly: 950 and 4,900
- Honored: 2,850, 6,800 and 10,750
- Revered: 2,700, 6,650, 10,650, 14,500 and 18,350
- Exalted: the last two quests
The wiki says each part is offered the day after its threshold is reached, except at Exalted. Wowhead's guide has slightly different figures for some of them, and a 2024 comment on it found The Ruins of Korune opening only at 11,400 into Revered.
The time to Exalted is the weak figure:
- Wowhead's guide (by Wowhead, last updated 2018) gives 900 a day from the dailies and 200 from the Beastmaster's Hunt quest
- campaign quests pay too (150 and 500 on the two wiki quest pages read)
- wow.gg (updated 2026) says three to four weeks, and that the Grand Commendation shortens Revered to Exalted from more than 20 days to 10-12
Against that, a comment on Wowhead's guide from the end of 2024 says Exalted now comes in a day from the story quests alone, without dailies, while an earlier 2024 comment on the item says the campaign was free of reputation gates in Remix: Mists of Pandaria but not on the ordinary realms. Nothing else was found to confirm a change after Remix, so the old pace is recorded; if the later report holds, the reputation is a matter of hours, not weeks. Reputation is per character as far as was found.
The wiki says learning the Grand Wyvern also teaches its Alliance twin, the Grand Gryphon (the reward of The Silence, the end of the Operation: Shieldwall campaign), and a wow.gg guide for the Gryphon, seen only in a search summary, says the reverse holds too; an account with either campaign finished should then have both mounts. That was not confirmed in the game.
The achievement Dominance Offensive Campaign (the twelve storylines) has been account-wide since patch 11.0.0; Wowhead lists the mount under it as well as under the quest. Tuskripper Grukna, the quartermaster at Domination Point, sells a different mount, the Grand Armored Wyvern, for 2,000 gold at Exalted. The item asks for level 30 (wiki).
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
