How to get it

Sold by Maaria, the Sha'tari Defense quartermaster in the Trading Post of an Alliance garrison, for 5,000 gold and 5,000 Apexis Crystals, at Exalted with the Sha'tari Defense. She is only there once the Trading Post is level 2, and the reputation comes from kills in and around Shattrath City and at Bladefury's Command in Talador.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

Maaria sells the mount for 5,000 gold and 5,000 Apexis Crystals (currency 823) by Wowhead's sold-by list; the wiki agrees. The journal leaves her name blank and shows the second cost only as a number.

Wowhead's tooltip has Maaria at two spots in Lunarfall, one for each medium plot: around 33.5, 49.5 and around 52.2, 43.7. Put on the Shadowmoon Valley zone map with the game's map tables, they are 29.1, 17.8 and 31.0, 17.2.

The mount is Alliance only; the Horde's Trading Post has the Laughing Skull Orcs and the Ironside Warwolf on the same terms. A well-rated 2014 Wowhead comment says buying this mount also puts the Ironside Warwolf in the collection for Horde characters; not checked.

The reputation is the soft figure: every source names the places and none a rate. The wiki says only that the creatures of Bladefury's Command give the reputation. Its page for one Shattrath creature (Demon Guard) says its 8 a kill stop at Honored, which suggests the city's weaker creatures do not carry all the way. A 2015 Blizzard Watch article advises Bladefury's Command over Shattrath and has its author at Revered within a day, when the creatures were at the characters' level.

Other sources of the reputation: a Medallion of the Legion gives 1,000 (wiki), and during Warlords of Draenor Timewalking Tempra in Stormshield sells the Commendation of the Sha'tari Defense, 300 reputation for 50 Timewarped Badges (wiki), 140 of them for the whole 42,000.

Whether the Trading Post has to stay built is disputed in 2015 Wowhead comments: one says no reputation comes without it, another that the medallions and the Draenor dungeon event give it anyway and that the goods can be bought in a friend's garrison. Wowhead's reputation guide (updated 2016) lists those same two ways of earning it without the building.

A level 3 Trading Post adds 20% to reputation earned in Draenor, but it opens with Exalted with one Draenor faction (Savage Friends), so it does not help the first one. Exalted also brings the title Peacekeeper (Wowhead's guides).

wow.gg's guide to the mount (updated 2026) names farming places no other source has (Shadowmoon Burial Grounds, Bladespire Citadel) and is not linked. The levels asked today for the garrison, its tiers and the level 2 blueprint were not established.
