Sold by Z'tenga the Walker, the Saberstalker Quartermaster at the Saberstalkers' camp just north of Fang'rila in Tanaan Jungle, for 1,000 Blackfang Claws once the character is Honored with The Saberstalkers. Claws and reputation both come from killing the Blackfang saberon of Fang'rila, so one hunt there pays for both.

Guides Wowhead: The Saberstalkers Reputation Guide · Wowhead: 6.2 Tanaan Jungle Guide
Before you go
- Honored with The Saberstalkers: 9,000 reputation from Neutral. 25 for each Blackfang Hunter, Prowler, Savage or Shaman killed in Fang'rila, 500 for each of the rare elites there (Soulslicer, Gloomtalon, Krell the Serene, The Blackfang; back about every half hour), 3,500 from Z'tenga's weekly quest Rumble in the Jungle (three champions called with totems that cost 40 claws together) and 1,500 from the daily Tooth and Claw on the days the Tanaan base offers it · about 1 h
- 1,000 Blackfang Claws: dropped by the same saberon, 100 from Tooth and Claw · about 0.25 h
In all: about 1.3 h of play, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Tanaan Jungle 55.2 74.8 - Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Ashran*

- Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Ashran*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
The journal's cost of 1,000 is Blackfang Claws, and the sources agree:
- the wiki: 'purchased for 1,000 Blackfang Claws from Z'tenga the Walker in Tanaan Jungle after reaching honored reputation', and its vendor table has the mount in the Honored row
- Wowhead's Saberstalkers guide, under Honored: 'Wild Goretusk: New Black Boar Mount. Costs 1000 Blackfang Claw'
- Wowhead's tooltip for the item gives the same vendor, standing and number, and says it binds when picked up
One search result (the boosting shop Gamingcy) lists it at Revered, against all of these.
Z'tenga stands at 55.2, 74.8 by Wowhead's tooltip (npc 92805), as given for the Bristling Hellboar; the wiki has 55, 74, north of Fang'rila. He also sells the Bristling Hellboar for 5,000 claws at Exalted, so a player after both keeps hunting.
Claws drop only in Fang'rila (Wowhead's Tanaan guide), bind when picked up and stack to 999 (wiki), so the character that buys has to gather them. The saberon are elites that walk in groups (wiki, guide). A 2015 comment names the packs by Soulslicer (62, 72) as the place to hunt, with the stacking buff from the green pool.
The rares, from the guide:
- Soulslicer: 62.0, 73
- Gloomtalon: 63, 80.5
- Krell the Serene: 51, 83
- The Blackfang: 50.0, 74.5
The Blackfang Challenge Arena is at about 54.5, 81.3. The weekly Rumble in the Jungle needs a Minor, a Major and a Prime Blackfang Challenge Totem from Z'tenga (5, 10 and 25 claws) to call Akrrilo, Rendarr and Eyepiercer, who give no reputation themselves (wiki); with it, Honored is the quest and 220 kills.
Tooth and Claw (100 Tanaan Jungle Teeth from the zone's beasts; 1,500 reputation and 100 claws) is offered at random at Lion's Watch or Vol'mar, so it needs the Tanaan base. A Medallion of the Legion gives 1,000 with every Draenor faction, and a level 3 Trading Post adds 20% (guide).
Not established: whether Z'tenga stands at his camp for a character that has never done the garrison's Tanaan quests. The wiki lists no prerequisite for him, and Wowhead's Tanaan guide only says that entering without them leaves the faction base and its vendors missing.
The hours are a guess for a character of today: the timings are players' of 2015 to 2018.
Wowhead's Saberstalkers Reputation Guide was last updated in 2018 and its content is of patch 6.2, but nothing in it has changed since by the wiki, and its comments run to 2026. The Tanaan guide (updated 2017) covers the zone and lists the mount among its rewards.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
