How to get it

Sold for 5,000 gold and 5,000 Apexis Crystals to a character who is Exalted with the Steamwheedle Preservation Society, by Kwilax Fuseshiv at the society's camp in the Ruins of Na'gwa in Nagrand, by Gazrix Gearlock in Stormshield and by Mimi Wizzlebub in Warspear. The reputation comes from ogre relics handed in at the same camp.

Exalted with the Steamwheedle Preservation Society: 42,000 reputation from Neutral, from two repeatable hand-ins to Sallee Silverclamp at the Ruins of Na'gwa (50.2, 41.2): A Rare Find, one Highmaul Relic for 350, and Fragments of the Past, 20 Gorian Artifact Fragments for 250. Both drop from the ogres around Highmaul in western Nagrand (the commenters' loop starts at its front gate, 31.5, 34.2) and the relics also lie in Highmaul Reliquaries there. Nine Nagrand rares each drop a trophy worth 500 · about 2.5 h

Notes and sources

The journal shows the second cost only as a number; it is Apexis Crystals. It also names only the two city quartermasters, where Wowhead's sold-by list has three vendors at the same price:

The place given above is Kwilax, because the reputation is handed in there. Draenor has to be reachable (the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands, or a garrison); the reins ask for level 17 (wiki).

The wiki's page for the mount words the price as 5,000 gold 'or' 5,000 Apexis Crystals; its vendor pages and Wowhead's cost data have both together. A 2014 comment speaks of 4,000 gold, which is the price less a reputation discount.

42,000 reputation is 120 relics, or 168 lots of 20 fragments. The relics and fragments are bound to the Warband (wiki), so another character can farm them.

How the reputation goes today is from the comments on Wowhead's guide. The best-rated one (2021, patch 9.0.5, confirmed in replies of 2022, 2023 and 2024) says to skip the nine rares and loop the outside of Highmaul killing Highmaul Sorcerers and Enforcers, just under 4 minutes a lap with everything respawned. The loop:

Comments of 2019 name the Highmaul mobs (Sorcerers for relics) and the Wetlands Tramplers and Riverbeasts at 36.3, 48.1 for fragments, and claim 30 minutes to an hour. A 2025 comment suggests parking a character at the camp and flying the rares' loop now and then instead. A 2021 comment that the hand-ins had risen to 375 and 525 was put down in a reply to the Draenor Timewalking reputation buff.

The guide also names the rare garrison mission Errand for the SPS (one relic) and the Medallion of the Legion (1,000 reputation). It dates from Warlords of Draenor (updated 2018) and its farming advice is the old one; the comments are what is current.

wow.gg's guide (2026) agrees on the amounts and vendors but counts the 42,000 'from Friendly'; nothing read says a character starts above Neutral.

No comment read is from Midnight, and whether Apexis Crystals come faster now was not established; the confidence is medium for those two reasons.
