Rare drop from Rukhmar, the world boss that circles Skyreach in the north of the Spires of Arak. She appears in the air above a tall rock below Skyreach and is back 15 minutes after each kill; a character can loot her once a week.
Chance 3.38% once a week, so about 30 tries on average — Wowhead: 185 mounts in 5,479 recorded loots of Rukhmar (item and NPC pages, read 2026-10-11); the tooltip gives the same 3.38%. The count is small for a boss killed since 2015, so it looks to have been started afresh after the chance was raised, which players date to patch 10.0

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
She appears in the air above a tall rock at 37.40, 38.59 by a 2023 Wowhead comment (rated +39, confirmed in 2024), which says the world quest marks the wrong place. Other places given:
- a guide comment (updated 2022): 37, 39, next to one of Skyreach's platforms
- a 2026 comment: killed her at a bridge at 35.14, 31.95
- Wowhead's tooltip for the NPC (83746): a single point at 47.1, 78.4, far to the south, which was not used
Left alone she flies off on a circuit: the wiki has her circling Skyreach, the guide comment flying across the zone. She is back exactly 15 minutes after dying (comments of 2023, 2024 and 2025), which is where the time on the spot comes from. The wiki has the nearest flight path at Apexis Excavation and a Skyreach summoning stone near 35.5, 33.1.
About 30 kills are expected at Wowhead's rate, one per character each week. The lockout: the wiki's tracking macro asks whether she 'has been killed this week' (quest 37464), and the guide comment says one attempt per character each week. The same comment says a character 'may need to be at least level 30' to loot her.
What players report since the increase is mostly worse: the mount after 119, 124, 128, 174 and 384 kills, and 193 and 465 kills without it (comments of 2024 to 2026), against a handful on the first to fifteenth kill. One 2024 comment guesses 'around 1%' and another says 'There is no way this is 5% drop'. Nothing from Blizzard on the figure was found.
The wiki says the mount is not on bonus rolls and has to be looted from the corpse; a 2025 comment had it go straight into the bags. Comments of 2026 say the mount has turned up on the Black Market, which is no part of the route here.
She has been tameable by hunters since patch 8.3 (wiki).
