Sold by Beska Redtusk, the Frostwolf Orcs quartermaster in Warspear, at Exalted with the Frostwolf Orcs for 5,000 gold and 5,000 Apexis Crystals.
Time there about 2 min a visit
Before you go
- Exalted with the Frostwolf Orcs: 42,000 reputation from Neutral. The quests of Frostfire Ridge, with some in Talador, the garrison and one in Nagrand, carry a character into Revered; the rest is killed for in Frostfire Ridge, at Magnarok (71, 31), Stonefury Cliffs by the Bloodmaul Slag Mines or the Iron Siegeworks. The faction has no daily quests · about 6 h
- 5,000 Apexis Crystals (Tanaan Jungle dailies, Draenor bonus objectives or garrison missives) · about 2.5 h
- 5,000 gold
In all: about 8.5 h of play, 5,000 gold, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Warspear 53.4 62.2 - Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Ashran*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
Horde characters only (journal; the wiki's 'Horde Only'). The journal shows the second cost only as a number; it is Apexis Crystals (wiki, Wowhead). The coordinates are from Wowhead's tooltip for Beska Redtusk (53.2-53.6, 61.0-62.6); wow.gg gives 53.4, 61.8.
The 5,000 gold is the listed price. Comments quoted for the Shadowmane Charger say the Exalted discount brought the same price down to 4,000 at the Arakkoa quartermaster; whether that holds here was not checked.
The Alliance's counterpart is the Dusty Rockhide of the Council of Exarchs. A 2015 Wowhead commenter who had bought the Swift Frostwolf found the Exarchs' mount already his on an Alliance character, so the two look like one mount for the account, each side seeing its own; not confirmed for 2026.
The reputation is the uncertain part. Wowhead's guide (updated 2016, written for patch 6.2) says all the quests bring a character 'decently into Revered, but not Exalted' and that there are no daily quests. A 2014 commenter with every quest done was only just Revered, so the hours are less for a character that quested through Frostfire Ridge, but not zero.
Per kill, a 2019 commenter at Magnarok got:
- 1 for the small goren
- 6 to 10 for the larger ones
- 20 for a big gronn
- over 400 for the rares, which come back about hourly (Vrok, Valkor, Hoarfrost, Mother of Goren and Gibblette gave 400 each in 2014)
A 2020 commenter kills those rares once a day for 'a couple thousand' in ten minutes. A 2018 comment says Draenor reputation gains were put back to their old amounts in patch 8.1, after a stretch of 1 or 2 a kill. No rate measured in Midnight was found.
The guide also names the Medallion of the Legion (1,000 reputation) and the 20% bonus of a level 3 Trading Post; wow.gg adds the Darkmoon Faire's 10% buff. Whether the standing is shared across the Warband was not established.
The item asks for level 17 and Apprentice Riding since patch 9.0.1 (wiki).
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
