Look it up on WowheadHow to get it
Sold by Zachariah Post, the Undead Horse Merchant in Brill, Tirisfal Glades, for 1 gold. Forsaken buy it outright; every other Horde race has to be Exalted with Undercity first. The Brill he trades in is the one of the past: speak with Zidormi in Tirisfal Glades to see the zone as it was before the Battle for Lordaeron.
Time there about 2 min a visit
Before you go
- Tirisfal Glades switched to the past: speak with Zidormi (69.4, 62.8) and ask to see the zone before the Battle for Lordaeron. A character that still sees the old zone skips this · about 0.1 h
- Exalted with Undercity, unless the buyer is Forsaken: the Undercity Tabard from the quartermaster, Captain Donald Adams, worn in dungeons turns their reputation into Undercity's; quests in Tirisfal Glades, Silverpine Forest, Hillsbrad Foothills and Western Plaguelands, the cooking and fishing dailies in Undercity and the Argent Tournament count too · about 3 h
- 1 gold
In all: about 3.1 h of play, 1 gold, starting from nothing.
Getting there
/way Tirisfal Glades 61.8 51.8 - Take the portal from Orgrimmar to Undercity*
- Fly the rest of the way
/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight
line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.
Notes and sources
Zachariah Post stands in more than one version of the world, and only the old Brill is confirmed to sell. The place given above is that past-timeline Brill, reached through Zidormi.
Where he has been seen:
- old Brill, reached through Zidormi: Wowhead's one recorded point is 61.8, 51.8. A 2023 comment (a level 70 blood elf, Exalted with Undercity) could trade with him there at 61.89, 51.77, and a 2026 reply (patch 12.0.7) under the 2020 comment that first advised Zidormi says 'This is what helped me in 2026 Midnight'.
- the rebuilt Brill of the present: the same 2023 comment found him at 59.83, 51.46 with his horses but with no dialogue and no vendor window, and a later 2023 reply reports the same.
- the north-east corner of the reclaimed Ruins of Lordaeron (65.9, 67.6, in a tent or gazebo), by comments of 2022 and 2024. Replies thank the 2022 writer, but none says outright that he sold there.
The wiki has him at the Gates of Orgrimmar after the Battle for Lordaeron, back in Brill once the Forsaken began rebuilding it, and then 'relocated to the city'. Whether any of the copies outside the old Brill sells today was not established. Comments of 2021 and 2024 tell of Forsaken characters who were asked for Exalted and could not open his shop; where they were standing is not said.
The journal leaves out the reputation and the timeline. The mount is account-wide once learned, so any Forsaken on the account can buy it for 1 gold and skip the reputation. Where a non-Forsaken starts with Undercity was not found, so the hours may overstate it. The wiki gives Captain Donald Adams in the Trade Quarter of the old Undercity (63.6, 48.8) and does not say where he is after the Battle for Lordaeron.
The item asks for level 10 (wiki, since patch 9.0.1). He sells the Black, Blue and Red Skeletal Horses at the same price and three Skeletal Warhorses at 10 gold.
Guide: Wowhead's is a user-submitted list (updated 2024) of every racial mount with its vendor and the rule that they are bought 'by being Exalted with their respective faction, or by being the race it's part of'; it names this mount and this vendor but does not say how the reputation is earned or mention Zidormi.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
